Best Western Garden Court Aylesbury
Ranked #11 of 12 Hotels in Aylesbury

I selected the hotel because it was centrally located to places of work, there were Premier inns nearby but the hotel is a part of the trusted Holiday inn chain network and that means a comfy bed in my case. An added attraction was the adjoining pool and gym which was free to guests and very well equipped. I didnt indulge in the £9 breakfast which i am sure was ok and is slightly cheaper to normal Holiday Inns, Hotel was quiet and rooms were ok if a little dated particularly the bathroom and TV!. Rates were reasonable although i think that breakfast should have been included.
The Hotel is on a junction at the edge of Aylesbury and is central for trips to Bicester or Milton Keynes both about 18 miles away and 40 minutes in the morning. Staff were pleasant at the hotel although on the normal business trip not much time was spent at hotel. A negative would be the Internet charges when the Horse and Jockey pub opposite and across the main road has free wi-fi and cheaper meals!

Room Tip: Wouldn't worry, off beaten track so no noise.

This is the smaller and much cheaper Holiday Inn in Aylesbury.
It's the one they always advertise as a 'cheap deal'.
This is a franchise deal and not really worthy of the brand name.

The other excellent Holiday Inn is south of the town and is a proper Inn, with facilities.

This Inn has zero facilities, my parents stayed there over Xmas and it was dirty, the room unprepared and someone had smoked, despite being banned - the alternative room was awful they said.
The car park is infamous in town for flooding, careful where you park!

Food - they could not offer anything other than a sandwich over Xmas itself - luckily we fed the parents who were quite shocked at how awful the Inn was.

Of course I had no idea - but that was the last time they ever visited Aylesbury.
Cheers maties.

Room Tip: Finding a good room? There's a Premier Inn 200 yards down the road

When checking into a hotel a smile and a "can I help you?" is standard but not with this hotel. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff who seem to have a problem with the concept of customer service/manners. Maybe they just have a problems with customers!
The rooms are tired and need fresh wall paper or paint to cover up the obvious running repairs carried out over the years.

Based on this experience alone I would never use a Holiday Inn again. However I use these hotels a lot and this hotel is just a rotten apple spoiling a good brand.

Room Tip: Pick another hotel lol

For the rate I paid as an advance booking I thought this hotel good value the room was very large with everything you would expect in a more expensive hotel in fact it was really like an american motel there is also a gym which i didn't use included. on the down side I think £10 for continental breakfast was excessive and the resturant menu was uninspired although very clean the hotel is a little dated and the double glazing is suprisingly poor at keeping out traffic noise even though the hotel is a fair distance from the road

Room Tip: I would ask for one not facing the road

Stayed here overnight with work and had a lovely quiet room on the top floor. Whilst the decor was tired and the TV very old with no remote the room served its purpose for a chill out and good nights sleep.
After a combat class at the adjoining gym which was free, I ordered an omlette to the room which arrived in a timely manner, was hot and tasty,
Not the best hotel I have stayed in but fine for an overnight stay.

I have stayed in many Hoilday Inns and I have to say that this is the very worst hotel that I have have ever had the miss fortune to stay in.

The rooms are very tired and in need of decorating. The bar/ restaurant is very small and not the nicest of places that i would want to eat. I was here on business and thought that for ease I would eat in the hotel. I was a little concerned when the food I ordered came out so quickly from behind the bar. The kitchen is a small room tucked in behind the bar, it would appear that everything is cooked in a microwave.
