We were always greeted cheerfully, the staff taking time to ask us how our day was, they were interested in how we were doing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was of a very high standard and worthy of a top London restaurant, the prices however does reflect this.
Our room was a standard room but was spacious with extra seating and a desk/make up area. It was in a quiet part of the hotel, so apart from the noises of other guests from time to time, was very quiet and peaceful - with wonderful views of the Chilterns.
The cleaning staff are quick and efficient and very friendly.
There is a large choice of breakfast for the traveller, continental, cereals, pancakes, Danish pastries, toast and of course a full English (my favourite)!
At the beating heart of this hotel is its staff, from the house keeping team through to reception. The dining staff and senior management all have a great sense of customer service and seem to be part of a great team.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side have a great view of the Chilterns

Stopped here for a night on way to Oxford on a National Express coach trip.
Room was not made up but this was quickly rectified.
Staff all very friendly, especially in the Spa. Food good, especially buffet breakfast - good chioces, well cooked. Hotel was spacious and light and airy, room lovely with view of gardens.
Did see people have to carry pushchairs up to 2nd floor, so maybe there isn't a lift?
All in all very comfortable stay- many thanks Holiday Inn!
Great location for the Cotswolds and Oxford

Room Tip: Check if lift is availble if you need one

Stayed at this hotel this weekend. Staff were friendly, extremely helpful, hotel reasonably priced, good selection of breakfast items, room looked recently decorated, bathroom was clean. Swimming pool was a nice bonus. Small but ideal for a quick dip. Sauna, jacuzzi, steam room too.

Stayed at this hotel for one night ,it is in a good location just off the A 41 .Got the room via booking.com and at a good rate including breakfast ,we were also upgraded to an executive room .
Our first room smelt of smoke even though they said it was non smoking however this was quickly changed no problem.
The receptionist was polite and helpful.
Breakfast consisted of the usual fair but it was good and hot .
The bar was a little bit expensive .
There was a pool and gym which we didn't use .

We stayed at this hotel for a valentine/anniversary celebration. The room was standard but comfortable and the bed was extremely comfortable. Only downside was the towel rail not working in the bathroom but not important so we didn't bother to report it. The special valentine meal was costly but good value overall - we really enjoyed it. The buffet breakfast was excellent - the pancake option being an unusual extra! The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

Room Tip: If you have mobility difficulties ask for a room near to reception otherwise it could be a long walk...

Due to work commitments I have stayed at this Holiday Inn dozens of times so I thought it was about time I wrote a review. I have used this as a preferred hotel in the area due to it being a good value, friendly hotel with good facilities. It also helps that I get Priority Club rewards points - it's the best Hotel loyalty scheme. Staff : I have found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful from front desk to bar to restaurant, if you stay there a lot they get to know you and that makes a difference. Food : this has been variable, but is generally fine and sometimes pretty good BUT they are very flexible and will tailor dishes where they can or even do something different, so do ask. Breakfast is a buffet arrangement, quality and variety is good but hot items could be hotter. You can also order bespoke items such as omelettes. Rooms : Generally ok and comfortable but some are showing their age a bit now, the executive rooms (which I get upgraded to a lot) are more up to date and nicer. Could do with more Freeview channels on the tv though. Facilities : I've only used the pool and it's big enough for a swim and pretty good, there is also a jacuzzi. I have been told that the gym is very good and the classes good too. Having stayed at many Holiday Inns, HI Expresses, Crowne Plazas etc this is definitely above average so therefore very good overall. Basic free Wifi if Priority Club Gold or Platinum which is only good for email etc, shame that isn't better for Priority Club members.

Room Tip: Rooms on first floor at the rear tend to be quieter, the Exec room block at the far rear are the qui...

Dear nuneatonmark
Thanks for taking the time to provide your Trip Advisor feedback. It was great to learn that your comments were based around your many stay and good to know that overall the hotel team delivery a great experience. Areas of focus within the hotel are very much around encouraging all of the team to be themselves, being friendly and taking ownership, and its good to learn that this "empowerment" is evident with the flexibility that you have experienced around dining options. People attributes such as these are key in our line of business and will very much remain an area of our focus. Once again thank you for your feedback, its great to receive such constructive comments and gives us an opportunity to take action with in the hotel, whilst also providing our corporate office with genuine guest comments.
Kind regards
