“Perfect Outing”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We went to Oak Farm and had a great time, spending a few hours there. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good range of animals - also very friendly too. Peacocks and alpacas were definitely our favourite. Had the opportunity to feed the animals which the children enjoyed doing. Children enjoyed the play areas provided. An excellent example of a working farm and nice that it is not commercialized. Animals are well looked after and have plenty of space. Lots of areas to picnic which we did. Would recommend and would go again if it came up on Groupon again.

“stay just as you are!!!”

Love love LOVE this place! Even though this is very much a working farm, the girls who work here are so accommodating and friendly...they know their animals so well and their love for their job shows. Very uncommercialised - many of the animals wander free and those that are penned enjoy being petted and fed - fresh veg and chicken feed can be bought at a very low cost. There is a small playpark with slides, seesaws, playhouses and a trampoline that has picnic tables. There is an indoor play area housed in one of the barns and a play area with lots of ride on toys and picnic tables next to the cafe. Food served consists of sandwiches and cakes, hot and cold drinks, all incredibly well priced.
I was so impressed with this place on my first visit that I bought a season pass. My girls get so excited when we drive into the road that leads to the farm...they were very wary of animals before we started coming here...they love them now! Don't expect anything `grand` - just a great safe, happy, friendly environment. :o)

“Good animal fun”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

We went through the £8 Groupon deal. Otherwise its £5 adults and £3.50 for kids. Its a pretty rugged farm and not so commercial as Mead. Be prepared to step on animal poo and dung throughout the farm. The parking is also sort of off road.
The variety of animals is quite good. You can buy the animal feed from the tea shop for 50 p per bag. we took 2 bags for four legged animals and one bag for birds which was enough. Our son loved feeding the ponies, llamas, pigs, alpacas, goats, sheep and donkeys. All animals looked healthy and tamed. We saw a peacock showing off its open green feathers which was amazing (see pic).
The tea room is basic with some food and drinks. We took our own sandwiches though. There are picnic benches and handwashing facilities all around the farm. The staff is friendly.
My only moan is the play area which is more for under 2s except the trampoline. My 4 year old got bored after a few minutes. Had the play area been more appropriate we could have stayed a bit longer.
Overall good way to spend a couple of hours. Will be going back.

“Brief visit”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 via mobile

Had a brief visit to the farm in general not bad, a few varieties of animals but the facilities could do with updating. Prices in the tearoom bit much but they've got to make money somewhere. in summary your getting what you pay for although £15 isnt much for a family but if you can get a money off voucher makes it more worthwhile.
