“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We stayed at the Premier Inn Aylesbury fir 2 nights. We found the hotel clean and staff very helpful and welcoming. The food at The Horse and Jockey was great, good value for money. The breakfasts were great too.

Stayed for a night prior to a Wedding. Room s were large and light. A Fan had thoughtfully been placed in our rooms. Another nice touch was an Iron and Ironing Board was placed in the room as Staff were aware of the Wedding. A member of Staff contacted us a couple of days before arriving to ask if we had any special requirements, really nice touch !

Very warm welcome staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, usual facilities common to all Premier Inns. Horse and Jockey Pub next door, where you go to eat. The evening meal was satisfactory although service not very good, but I would not reccomend the breakfast, full breakfast was not well cooked and quantities poor. The selection of fruits poor with none of the usual berries, no muffins and no tea pots as is usual. Service almost non existent, pity as the restaurant / pub usually compliments the excellent service of the Premier Inns. I would stay here again but would eat somewhere else.

Room Tip: Ground floor at rear NO5 good choice

We found the rooms more like a jr suite. Very roomy and staff was excellent. A nice bonus next door was the horse and jockey where we were able to meet up with family and friends. The only negative thing I would say is no free wifi in room except for 30 minutes a day. But to be fair the Horse and Jockey offered free wifi the whole time they were open

Usual comfortable room and friendly staff.
Booked breakfast in advance which is taken in the adjoining Horse & Jockey pub. My wife went for the continental and many items at 8.30am not available including croissants, crumpets, white bread, fresh fruit salad and mixed berries.
Had an evening meal and again many menu items not available including steak and curry. Not even any cream for a liquor coffee.

You know what you get with a premier inn - absolutely fine for price and an overnighter if attending some function or having a stopover to break a journey. This one not as great as I have experienced elsewhere - the traffic noise really isn't great - it's just after traffic lights on a main road so lots of acceleration noise and poor / no double glazing. Restaurant not great - breakfast was slow, surly service and poor quality. Staff in actual premier inn - reception & cleaners were great

This is one of those places where following your sat nav to arrive isn't a great idea, better to follow a map or ring the hotel. Tends to be a bit confusing when you are told to take a turn off a roundabout when they actually mean traffic lights!

Situated on one of the main roads into Aylesbury, about fifteen minutes walk into town we were advised. Not much else around apart from a small shop where you could buy drinks, nibbles etc, and the All Inns pub next door.

Staff on check in were very friendly and helpful, even going as far as getting out a map to help us find where we were going the next day.

The room was of the normal comfortable standard expected. The pub next door, the Horse and Jockey is not one of the normal chains, and staff were friendly and helpful as well as pretty efficient. The pub also has a garden to sit out in. Food was good value with a wide choice, although we just had a mix of nibbles - garlic bread, onion rings, chicken wings etc. Breakfast is also served here the next day.

One word of warning, as it is an old fashioned pub some of the ceiling beams and rafters are pretty low, so if you are anything over five feet ten be careful.

A handy stop off if you are in the area with plenty of car parking, although ask for a room at the back to avoid the noise of the main road.
