If I had a hat I would take it off to Frankie and Benny's of High Wycombe for the effort to which they must go for their customers.
My partner and I popped in for dinner today and on arrival we ordered two pints of coke and were both left in awe by the efforts they must have gone too to get them.
I can only imagine that one of the poor beleaguered members of staff had to travel to Gatwick, board a plane and travel to the far off land where from Pepsi hails, after then hiking into the mountains to find the elusive Pepsi spring and filled our two glasses before making the treacherous return journey, evading all manner of bandits on the road. It is the only feasible explanation for the time it took to get them.
The main course arrived much quicker which is understandable as having ordered chicken and a steak in a country of mostly agricultural land a cow and chicken must have been significantly easier to find.
Likewise with the Eton Mess, which we were disappointed to find that on it's return journey from Eton college, given the hot weather had melted to slush turning any meringue hidden in there to mush.
We left feeling full, but only of respect for the intrepid explorers of High Wycombe's Frankie and Benny's.
God bless you on your future adventures.
