Functional room with the benefit of robes and water and even a mars bar with the coffee. Functional building at a very good location. Wi Fi costs don't really agree with this in the IT age my little local pub has it and this is an international company, bit like paying for free TV. Staff were very friendly and breakfast fine near to a Franky and Bennys and TGI if you like noise also a cinema nearby.

This really is a great hotel. We were attending a wedding but timings were not easy. After travelling from home we needed to be able to change before going to the service.
The hotel could not, on a Saturday morning, commit themselves to making rooms available for a very early book in, but made a note of our request. On arrival the receptionist took great trouble to track down for us two rooms that had been made up, by contacting those staff directly who were in process of making the rooms ready for guests. We were accommodated and everyone concerned in this process were happy to do so. And we were very grateful.
The following morning breakfast was excellent. It was help yourself, and the selection of food was wide and excellent. It was therefore a very adequate meal. The breakfast room is presided over by 1) a chef who is "about the place" and speaks to guests; and 2) a lady who is simply superb. She attends with care to every table, treats guests as persons, pays great attention to refills of tea and coffee, ensures children have painting or other books, and makes certain that the breakfast room is spick and span, even when busy.
I used to live in High Wycombe and never realised we had such a gem in our midst.

Room Tip: Although on the M40 roundabout and on the ground floor I heard no noise.

We stayed here for one night when travelling from Yorkshire to Sussex to break up the journey. We arrived really late at night after the M40 was closed, and were exhausted and grumpy, but the attendant at reception had a big smile and was so friendly it instantly lifted our spirits. We went straight to our room and passed out, and slept amazingly well, although we were woken at around 3am by some other guests talking loudly as they walked along the corridor. No big deal though.

Breakfast was average: scrambled eggs were a bit overcooked as was the bacon, but the staff were happy to get more, or to make eggs to order, and the sausages and veggies were tasty. There was also a great yogurt and fruit station too, I filled up on yummy Greek yoghurt with fresh fruit and fruit compote. Their European style breakfast (cold cuts and cheese etc) was more limited but seemed decent quality. A point to note: we didn't book breakfast in advance, but wish we had, as it was much cheaper to select when you book your room. We booked at check in, so paid a but more, but that was cheaper than paying on the morning, so if you plan to have breakfast book it with your room reservation.

When we finally had time to appreciate our room, we were really surprised at how spacious it was. The shower was brilliant (bath too, but no time to enjoy it!) and we had a great selection of toiletries. The room was nicely decorated, with plenty of hanging space for clothes, and a decent hairdryer. The room overlooked the M40, but we had no noise issues whatsoever. They've obviously done a good job with the sound insulation! It was quite a nice view though; there was a garden followed by a row of trees that screened the view and probably some of the noise from the motorway.

When we checked out the staff were again lovely and friendly. Although we weren't staying long we definitely appreciated our stay here.

Hotel is easy to get to being on the exit to the M40 and just a 3 minute drive into High Wycombe. I spent two nights here, the WiFi is quite expensive at £16 per 24hr, but as an IHG Gold member I was given a free pass, however, once logged on, the internet is extremely slow. So slow in fact, I gave up.

My room was adequate, the bed was very comfortable and even though my room faced the round-a-bout over the M40 there was very little road noise at all. The best feature of this hotel are the staff, every member I interacted with was nice, pleasant and always helpful. I had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The buffet breakfast was very good and warm. The dinner menu is a little on the small side but what I ate was tasty.

Stayed here for two nights for a trip to Wembley. Didn't realise it's about 1.5 miles from railway station. Managed to hitch a lift down the incredibly long hill but cost £9.30 for taxi ride back up! Breakfast is very expensive at £10.50 each and had we known Asda and John Lewis were so near would have gone there (much better value). We were unfortunate enough to experience a fire alarm on the Saturday night which seemed chaotic as the staff were a little nonplussed as to what to do. Someone did mention that there was no roll call - just a member of staff saying we could all re-enter the building. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant but overall an expensive weekend. The outside areas were poorly maintained - ashtrays full to overflowing and pots and glasses left overnight.

Room Tip: No lift so if you're challenged in the walking department ask for ground floor room

Dear Spireman

Thank you for your comments, it is with our guests comments that we continue to improve our service. I am sorry that you had to experience a fire drill during your stay, this must have been both alarming and inconvenient. Our team are fully trained on fire evacuation procedure but we will do a refresher training this week to ensure the role call is being actioned.

I was sorry to hear that you thought our award winning breakfast was expensive, if you are back in the area again I would love to offer you 2 complimentary breakfasts. I have sent you a message with details of how to claim this.

I am glad that you found the team very accommodating and pleasant and I hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon. If your preference is to have a ground floor room, we would be more than happy to provide you with one should you chose to stay with us again.

Kind regards
Vanda

I stayed here for a single night while on business. The hotel is conveniently located just of the M40 at J4 (as the title suggests). From memory there is a cinema and Franky and Bennys within walking distant but not much else. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Its a little difficult to say any more as I didn't have dinner or breakfast here. All in all a good stay but a little out the way if your planning a long stay. Rooms were average looking but clean.

Very convenient to M40, and walking distance to a cinema, supermarket and out of town John Lewis. Friendly and efficient staff.
Room was on the small side, but comfortable and well maintained. Bathroom a bit tired, with no shaving mirror and thin towels.
Food was fine, with good service.
