“Typical Premier”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I stayed here for one night. It has all the usual Premier Inn features and an excellent restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking is an issue and it would do well to obtain some of the local parking places to offer the guests. Would stay again if in the area.

As always, great value, comfortable nights sleep and friendly service. Well located hotel with parking available at a reasonable price. Clean room and bathroom facilities. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Clean, quiet, extremely helpful friendly staff. The staff clearly took a pride in their work. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Car parking is as good as it can be given the location. Good food too.

Insufficient staff to serve all customers in the restaurant so they closed it!!!!!
Can't believe you have to go to the bar to pay as no mobile card machine?
Limited parking places so had to park in car park on level 5 and pay.
Asked for A gin and was offered gordons or blue sapphire chose gordons but they didn't have any even though I was offered it but still had to pay the higher price !!

Room Tip: Don't stay!

My job tends to take me to number of Premier Inns around the country & I'm happy to say that this is the best I've discovered so far. It's a relatively new hotel, so everything is clean, well maintained & seems to be in perfect working order. As always with Premier Inns, I found that I slept brilliantly & despite having stayed in a room on either side of the hotel on my two visits so far (one overlooking the main road, the other overlooking McDonald's) I've yet to experience any of the noise that other visitors have complained about.

My main reason for reviewing this hotel is the quality of the customer service the staff provide. I checked into the hotel at around 2:00pm on a Thursday afternoon, paid £6 to park my car & enjoyed the room for a couple of hours before travelling to a nearby town to work for the evening. On returning to the hotel, I discovered that - unsurprisingly - the car park was full & walked into the hotel to enquire whether I was likely to get a parking ticket if I left my car in one of the parking spaces for the nearby McDonald's. I was expecting a simple yes or no answer, possibly accompanied by directions to the nearest car park, but what I ended up with was a member of staff - Salv (thank you!) - moving his own car.

Huge thanks to Salv for doing this, it's hugely above & beyond the level of customer care I expect & it'll certainly ensure that I return to this hotel again in future.

Really good hotel. For the price we paid the room and facilities were excellent. A bit of confusion with the parking because the signs displayed in the multi storey next door said 12 hours maximum, but staff told us that they will validate the ticket so we could park for longer and the maximum would be £5. We had 2 rooms that were both clean and comfortable, the only down side for us was that we couldn't open the window. The room has individually controlled air con/heat but we prefer to have the window open during the night. Central location was excellent. We didn't eat at the hotel but had a few drinks in the bar and the service was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Great location - walking distance to Eden shopping and high street and the Rye. Very quiet despite the main road and train line. Parking is a bit of a mess and expensive. Very clean, well run. Good restaurant (Thyme brand seem to be good at other Premier Inn's too). The staff made it though. All were very friendly, very helpful, just outstanding. Got an awesome deal through booking.com - £170 for 4 nights including a Friday night, family room.
