“Dropped in and was pleasantly surprised”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2014

We visited with my mother on the Saturday before Mothers Day having been out for an afternoon drive around the lovely local countryside. The menu was tantalising and varied which did make choosing only one thing difficult. There were three of us and we did order different items, and did share - sorry, but the food was that good! I particularly liked the fish curry. The staff were extremely friendly and whilst they were busy their attention to detail was excellent. My mother says we'll be taking her back to try some other delights on the menu :)

Absolutely awful, do not go here and waste your money. You would be better venturing to the Kings Arms, Stokenhurch or Studley Garden Centre for £10 maximum. Hard potatoes and vegetables with mediocre service, not really much of a atmosphere either. On commenting to staff about the food/ price they shrugged shoulders not really the response you expect from a service/ food establishment especially if you enjoy your roasts!

Dear Colleen

Thank you for taking out time to put a review in trip advisor.
I would like to defend with the pricing and know for sure that Kings arms did £17.95 2 courses and £ 22.95 for 3 courses as it was " Mothers Day " and I am sorry if you expected our 2 course unlimited buffet to be for £10.00.
About the atmosphere which you believe we lacked is an exaggeration as we did more than 150 people that day and you are the only one who saw no atmosphere.
I do find your review an effort to show us in a bad light.

Best of luck for the future.

Thanks.

Twenty of us from a classic car group descended onto the Tree at Cadmore for Sunday lunch. Buffet of two courses for £12.95. despite asking individuals to book, some did; some didn't. But the staff were wonderful in putting us all together in one area. The buffet is unusual with English soups and roasts, and Indian starters and mains, but for groups it works brilliantly. The quality of the food is excellent too. I had a souflee for desserts which was tremendous, in fact miles better than one I had at a michelin starred restaurant recently. We will return.

As a usual customer of the tree in Iffley we thought we'd try out this one. We were definetly not disappointed. Same excellent service from very highly experienced staff and manager. The food was finger licking good. Highly recommendable you won't be disappointed. It's Like bringing the excellent high quality of Indian food out of India.

Rooms very poor , mould in bath rooms , very dated , would not return , but the restaurant food looked very nice , staff lovely , and manager very helpful , once it has a refit on rooms will be great .

Room Tip: If looking for posh comfortable beds your looking at the wrong place
