We reserved a table for lunch and specifically asked for it to be outside. When we arrived we were told that we could not sit outside as it was too busy and if we wanted to do so we would have to wait.
My mother is in her eighties and can't stand up for long so waiting was not really an option. The waiter said he would give us a table next to the back door which was "like being outside"
I could see that there were tables free on the outside terrace and asked again of we could not be seated there. the waiter made it plain by his reaction that he thought i was being a pain and stated again that this would not be possible.
So..we sat down at the table we were shown too and then we waited 10 minutes for a waiter to come and ask if we would like anything to drink. We then waited another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive.
The food wasn't bad actually but even if it had been great it would not have made up for how we were made to feel on arrival.
It took an equally long time to get the bill..and when it came it was only the piece of paper the waitress had written out order on..no prices or anything..and I was told i would have to go to the bar to get the bill processed.
£90 for three starters, four bowls of pasta, a bottle of house red and a couple of soft drinks.
Distinctly unimpressed, won't be going again.
