My husband and I booked a one night stay. We met up with friends from Aylesbury and just needed 2 rooms for the night and a decent breakfast. We arrived first at 12 noon. Booking in at the hotel is 3 pm but we asked the young man on reception if there was any chance we could book in early ,this was no problem and we were able to leave our bags in our room and enjoy Cambridge. The rooms are spotless and absolutely ideal for a one night break. I really can not fault the hotel for what it is. All of the staff were helpful and polite. The bar area is well furnished and cosy. We returned to the hotel after eating out and had our last drink of the evening. We actually wished we had gone back earlier as the atmosphere in the bar was great. A good nights sleep was only slightly spoiled by the noisy rain outside ( not much Premier could have done about that!) Breakfast the next morning was good value with a nice choice of hot and cold . The bacon was particularly nice! We even grabbed a Costa Coffee from the breakfast area, free, to take away with us on our journey home. Would certainly recommend.

The hotel in itself is not too bad but if you compare to this to other inns it is far too expensive. This is our 4 th stay with premier inn, perhaps our expectation was high. When we arrived we were not acknowledged for at least 10 mins , staff were disinterested and our room incredibly noisy looking a very busy motorway, £60 a night is about right wouldn't pay much more !

Room Tip: stay away from the noisy rooms

Looking for a base to visit a city is often difficult with so many B&Bs and cheaper hotels but with Premier you know exactly what you are getting. A comfortable bed and a clean bathroom.
This hotel has an inhouse restaurant and the food was reasonably priced and plenty of options.
Only one snag you have to pay as you go, and at breakfast before you eat!!
So after 3 days I had a wad of credit card slips. Im sure that they could find a way to add it to your bill and pay at checkout and if you forget they have your details anyway.
Good bus connections into city centre. Staff polite and helpful. What more do you need?

Room Tip: If you have to sleep with a window open then ask for a room away from the road which runs along the...

Good comfortable room for overnight stay near Cambridge on a business trip. Set in a quiet residential area. Road noise from A14 outside was not apparent. Arrived late but staff very helpful and even carried an iron and ironing board directly to my room from reception. Bar and dining area are nice and breakfast was very good, if a bit pricy at £8.50 for a hot buffet (cheaper option is light, cold food only). Bit noise around midnight from door banging in the corridor but no worse than other hotels I've stayed in. Bed very comfortable. The layout around the stairs and lifts on upper floors is very confusing with doors everywhere and lifts which open on both sides!
Overall very good and recommended.

We stayed at the Premier Inn for a night whilst visiting Cambridge and were pleasantly surprised at how well run and nice the hotel was. We haven't stayed at a Premier Inn before and didn't know what to expect, but the staff were friendly, the room was a good size and clean and the breakfast was extensive and reasonable. It is easy to get into the centre and the hotel does have a restaurant which serves meals in the evening although we dined in Cambridge.
We would recommend this hotel for a night when visiting Cambridge.

As always, you know what you get at a PI; good basic facilities for an overnight stay. In reasonable position outside Cambridge centre; we left car in car park as it was already full. Taxi approx £9 to centre.
