We were invited to a birthday party in Cambridge City Centre. I spent a lot of hours researching where to stay as we really wanted to be in walking distance of the venue. After reading Trip Advisor reviews and looking at hotel tariffs we eventually chose the Premier Inn mainly because of the price as the location for the city centre was not ideal. Unfortunately most of the city centre hotels were very expensive and some had no parking facilities.
We don't normally stay at Premier Inns but this hotel was absolutely right for what we needed apart from the location. The room was fine, clean with everything you needed. We had a good breakfast, very pleasant staff and a free car park. The hotel was busy but very quiet during the night and we did get a good nights sleep. The bedrooms aren't luxurious but of a good standard. Yes we did have to get a taxi to the venue but the total price we paid for the overnight stay, breakfast and taxi were much cheaper than staying in a city hotel.

Room Tip: Some rooms face the A14 however you can't hear it through the windows.

Pleasant enough overnight stay on business. Room was what you would expect from a Premier Inn. This one is relatively new and has a good restaurant. I had a meal deal, which was good value. The only downside is that it is on the edge of a new housing estate and there is nothing in the vicinity.

Stayed overnight with husband and two children on a busy Saturday. Check in was quick and easy and the room was the standard Premier Inn fare, ideal for one night stay. Although the hotel was busy the room was quiet and had a fairly good nights sleep. Only criticism would be the beds were quite hard and would bother me if I was staying longer. Breakfast was great value with two children going free, it is all self serve which is great if everything is topped up but kept finding there was no coffee cups, the milk had run out and had to wait for the full english items to be replenished. Staff were very nice and polite and seemed to working hard but this is a large Premium Inn so expect it to be busy at the weekends. Overall, for us, it was a reasonable price and just what we need for a overnight stay.

Great hotel, and exceptional value for money if you book at the right time. For me this sets the standard for hotels for the cost / quality balance. One complaint would ever be that all the hotels in the chain are not to this standard!

The rooms are clean, modern and in good condition, whilst there is onsite parking, an onsite bar and restaurant. Food is good, and colouring crayons and paper were available for my young daughter, meaning dining was pleasurable.

My second complaint is that the limited wifi is disappointing as these days it is expected to be available everywhere always.

Luckily they don't charge extra for having a bath as opposed to a shower.

Stayed here for two nights, Friday and Saturday. Plenty of parking. Check in quick and efficient. Rooms are exactly what you expect from Premier Inn, modern, clean, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, TV, hairdryer, combined body/hair shampoo. We were on 7th floor, very quiet sound proof rooms (unlike a stay the previous week at the Cambridge Holiday Inn Express, where we could hear every door in the corridor bang.) The Meal Deal is excellent value for money at £22.99, where you get a three course dinner and a drink and their all you can eat breakfast.

My husband and I booked a one night stay. We met up with friends from Aylesbury and just needed 2 rooms for the night and a decent breakfast. We arrived first at 12 noon. Booking in at the hotel is 3 pm but we asked the young man on reception if there was any chance we could book in early ,this was no problem and we were able to leave our bags in our room and enjoy Cambridge. The rooms are spotless and absolutely ideal for a one night break. I really can not fault the hotel for what it is. All of the staff were helpful and polite. The bar area is well furnished and cosy. We returned to the hotel after eating out and had our last drink of the evening. We actually wished we had gone back earlier as the atmosphere in the bar was great. A good nights sleep was only slightly spoiled by the noisy rain outside ( not much Premier could have done about that!) Breakfast the next morning was good value with a nice choice of hot and cold . The bacon was particularly nice! We even grabbed a Costa Coffee from the breakfast area, free, to take away with us on our journey home. Would certainly recommend.

The hotel in itself is not too bad but if you compare to this to other inns it is far too expensive. This is our 4 th stay with premier inn, perhaps our expectation was high. When we arrived we were not acknowledged for at least 10 mins , staff were disinterested and our room incredibly noisy looking a very busy motorway, £60 a night is about right wouldn't pay much more !

Room Tip: stay away from the noisy rooms
