The hotel is fine including the much commented on breakfast but sadly they cant legislate for their guests. We were constantly bothered by groups on a party break. Not a lot the staff can do except put up with the rude behaviour.Had we known we would have come another day.Apparently it is symptomatic of Cambridge in the summer.

Room Tip: check no stag/ hen parties in the hotel

Although the hotel seems new, the window seal in out room was broken and let in noise so we asked to move to another room. The lock on the corridor door to our new room was broken sometime on the 3rd evening of our stay leaving our corridor unsecured.
The cooked breakfast is self service and is poor. The orange juice is a cheap concentrate but on the plus side the croissants and fresh fruit salad are excellent so save money by avoiding the cooked option.
There were a number of contractors staying in the hotel and some were "the worse for wear " in the bar area one evening.
Don't stay in a room at the front of the hotel as early risers chatting and waiting outside for a taxi or a lift could wake you earlier than you intended.

Altogether , not as good as some other Premier Inns we have stayed at.

Room Tip: Avoid the front of the hotel

A great fan of PI and this Premier Inn is well situated for visiting the Cambridge area, and provided adequate free parking situated in an area of newly built town houses, but be aware that there are no shops, or other restaurants in close proximity.

Our room overlooked a play area and therefore was quiet and away from any traffic noise from the A14 and provided all the usual PI standards, . The lifts were most efficient and the hotel was well laid out. Received a warm welcome from reception, and staff in the Thyme Restaurant were most pleasant and efficient in the service at dinner, and assisted the self-service at breakfast for both days. Food for both meals was also very good and did not disappoint and provided good value on the "meal deal".

Look forward to returning next time we are in the area.

Room Tip: Book early to get the best price, and book a table for dinner in advance as the restaurant is very busy.

All be it the staff are friendly and courteous and their enthusiasm is infectious the hotel is missing a few minor basic issues that could make it great.I found the wifi sadly lacking.Log on Log off Log on Log off I gave up in the end.The room was adequate and I slept well.Breakfast was very basic just about fine, though the mayhem was off putting , not a relaxed start to the day.The rate wasn't cheap compared the other premier inn I stayed in, if it had been lower the niggling issues would have been easier to swallow.

Great hotel, large comfortable and clean room. I slept really well, the bed was huge and lovely. Breakfast was fine - usual hot and cold buffet - and very busy. We had dinner and it was nice food. Good location - easy to access the bus into Cambridge and the staff are really helpful in explaining what bus you need and the times.
