Stayed there for our city break in Cambridge ! This was my first premier inn hotel i've stayed and i was pretty impressed by them. Room very nice and cozy. However, there as mentioned in a previous review, there was 1 day where the breakfast quantity was very limited... Besides, this i enjoyed it !

Free parking, simple check in, check out, helpful friendly staff, decent bar and not the best, but not the worst food. Its a Premier Inn and this is a good, value hotel to stay the occasional night.

Expensive (£95 inc breakfast, possibly as it was new student weekend at Cambridge). Room uninspiring, but comfortable and quiet on first floor (soundproofing for nearby main road was good at first floor). Lift bizarre - press the wrong button for ground floor (why are there 2?) and you end up in the laundry. I needed to mend soap dispenser. Sat navs don't know where this is yet; the postcode I was given by another premier inn nearby goes to the wrong place (apparently because sat navs cant locate the right place yet, leaving you about half a mile off course) - print out the Google map. I think the view might improve if they build a B&Q opposite. Staff were attentive and polite. Breakfast better cooked than other reviews say, but rather limited range if not quantity.

On arriving the room was a double whereas I had booked a twin. The friendly staff made up twin beds in double-quick time.
The wetroom was large and clean with a drop-down stool in the shower. I would have preferred a waterproof wheelchair for ease. They are not expensive and a jolly good aid.
However, that is my only gripe, oh except the loo seat needed tightening! That was all!
The staff were young, friendly and competent. I would return with pleasure.
We had the continental beakfast. DELICIOUS fruit salad accompanied by a special request for espresso coffee. Thank you!

Our previous stay at a Premier Inn was a mixed affair, so we booked at Cambridge with a little trepidation. There was no need to worry though...

Initially we thought we'd messed up. As other reviews have noted, the hotel is in the middle of a housing estate which is still being built. Diggers and the like were in evidence during the day but we didn't hear any construction noise from our room.
The other concern was its proximity to the busy A14 road. From the window of our room it was about 50ft away! Thankfully, the sound proofing of the windows is amazing and when shut they only permitted an almost inaudible amount of traffic noise to enter the room. Since the rooms are air conditioned, there's no need to have the window open to cool it down.
As usual the room was spotlessly clean and the maids did a good job re-stocking everything while we were out.
We opted to dine in the on-site restaurant, as we were out sightseeing all day and wanted to relax with a meal and a couple of drinks in the evening. The choice of food was nothing amazing but seemed to cater for all tastes and couldn't be faulted in itself. We didn't try the breakfast, however.
We got a deal which worked out at £39 per night; I think this is pretty good value for money. The location isn't the best for Cambridge itself, being a bit out of the way. For us though, it was perfectly placed for accessing the main roads to get to where we wanted to go each day.
The principle reason we choose Premier Inn over b&b is because we know - pretty much - what to expect; clean comfortable rooms (fix those hard beds though!) and no nasty surprises.

We booked this hotel for a one night stay to visit Cambridge whilst we were in the area for a friend's wedding. The hotel was incredibly easy to find, being bang on the A14! The hotel is in the middle of a new housing estate which is still being constructed so it did have a bit of an odd desolate feel to the immediate area around the hotel but we were able to get a bus right outside the hotel into Cambridge (on a sunday these only run once per hour). Our room and the inside of the hotel were just what you would expect from a Premier Inn, brand new, clean, minamilist.

The hotel has a restaurant which seemed quite busy when we were there but instead we went to the Plough in Fen Ditton which I would HIGHLY recommend for a cosy high-end pub meal by the river.

I would recommend this hotel if you are looking to visit Cambridge on the cheap, not ideal if you want to be right in the middle of things though.

Clean hotel with friendly staff and a decent breakfast, but probably would opt for something a bit closer to Cambridge in the future. The hotel certainly did nothing to imply it was closer than it actually is, but I didn't realize how far out it is until we set off for Cambridge.

My wife was happy to see they offered a decent vegetarian breakfast, including veggie sausages.
