“Just what you'd expect.”
Reviewed 6 March 2011

It's exactly the same as any other Premier Inn in the country in which we or Lenny Henry have stayed. Plain but comfortable rooms with comfortable beds and adequate equipment, hair drier, kettle TV etc. This is a new building, so it has energy saving LED lighting in places, in keeping with their subtle eco-friendly stance. There is an all-you-can-eat breakfast which had good variety and the cooked items were hot and fresh. The staff were friendly and efficient.
I suppose the location is reasonably convenient for anyone in Cambridge on business, but it's right out in the North of the town next to the A14, so not the best of places for the tourist. On the other hand it is very good value for money.
It appears to have limited free WiFi in the rooms, but after a time (30 minutes?) you need to log onto their server and presumably start paying.

Wow - £29 for a family room (booked in advance) - the hotel was spotlessly clean, the rooms were well equipped, the staff were all exceptionally friendly and polite (reception, cleaners, restaurant), we really could not fault it. The bed was by far the most comfortable I had slept in for a long time.
In the morning, we paid £15.98 for two full adult breakfasts (my daughter's was free), the food was excellent quality, hot and plentiful. I was expecting a budget experience, but got so much more. I would recommend Premier Inn to anyone.

I booked the hotel with my partner as a cheap getaway at new years. When we arrived i was immediately let down by the view of the dual carriageway and the buildings that were still in a state of construction. On arrival the receptionist looked like she wanted to be somewhere else, and i can say that the cleaners missed a couple of spots in the bathroom without saying too much more. Despite these problems we had two good nights, and when accessing services, the staff were very helpful. The room itself was smaller than i imagined but was nice enough and the value was very very good. The only other gripe i would have if i was staying for buissness purposes, i would find the pay as you go internet usage incredibly annoying. I would say this is a good place to stay if you dont plan to be in the hotel very much during your stay.

We stayed for 2 nights on a special offer rate, for the price this was very good but I wouldn't pay anything like the posted 185/night, for 20/night excellent value.

Very clean, tidy, pool area could use minor repairs, bar made mistake with order but it was corrected well, quiet but ugly, wifi has to be paid for which seems a bit much these days

Decent cheap hotel, not a great location for Cambridge but easy enough to get to and from the city and anywhere else you might want to go really.
Good staff, clean rooms all set up as they should be for a family, nice looking hotel. We don't normally eat breakfast at these sort of places but as there is not much around the hotel we thought we'd go for it. The Lithuanian guy who served us was great, sorted us out quickly and made sure everything ran very smoothly. The selection was good and overall we were very impressed.
In short we paid £29 for a stop over and what we got was a very pleasant surprise!

We use Premier Inn's at work. I tried to get into the one on Huntington Road, which is a much better location than this one, but it was full.
Rooms and layout is typical Premier Inn, clean and tidy, so no complaints there. Food in the on site restaurant was decent enough. The waiting staff were attentive and helpful. They got my starter slightly wrong, but not the end of the world.
The hotel is situated on a half built housing estate way out of the city centre. So you're stuck 'on site' unless you want to book a taxi there and back. It's also a bit on the pricy side for a Premier Inn, a bit cheeky as it's not exactly a central loaction.
I'll stay there with work, but wouldn't through pleasure.

This is a very good Premier Inn, it is a more up-to-date Premier Inn, the staff are very friendly and helpful, we had a meal in the restaurant two nights in a row and became very friendly with Vanessa the waitress there, she was more than happy to help with anything and she was there for our breakfast as well. Highly recommended when visiting Cambridge. 10 out of 10!!
