I was in Cambridge on late March for attending a conference and a short couse. Having tight schedule with the conference made me had a little time and want to refresh my mind. If you are arround cambridge for short study then the botanical garden is so much warted to visit

“"A lovely gem"”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

This visit to this lovely garden should be a must for any visitor to Cambridge. On a dull summer day the whole place was lit up by the most breath taking displays of flowers. The buzzing of Beas and bird song filled the air. It was a truly special experience to spend a few hours with a friend in such delightful surroundings.

“Perfect escape”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

What a gem! I had a couple of hours free between visits to a family member in the nearby Nuffield Hospital and the weather was glorious. A lovely place to stroll around alone or with friends or family.. relaxed and beautiful. I am interested in plants but feel anyone could appreciate the beauty of the gardens and specimen plants without any horticultural knowledge. I personally loved the many varieties of pine, the rockplant and limestone areas and the area of scented flowers - the wisteria and lilacs were heavenly. I also loved the alpines and saxifrages, perfect time to see them.

The café was good, fab polenta cake.

In a difficult week, a couple of hours of peace - very restorative. Well worth a visit.

“Wonderful !”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

A marvelous collection of plants, beautifully laid out. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the different sections. We liked the way the outside of the gardens is left wild. The Glass House are so interesting and a great place to go when it rain! We spent over 4 hours wandering around. With a stop for lunch!

“A little bit of Heaven!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

An experience that compares very favourably with Anglesey Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum, two of my very favourite horticultural/arboricultural experiences.
And one of the wonderful things about gardens is that they change with the seasons so one visit a year is just not enough!
