“On the buses in Cambridge”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

This was our first visit to Cambridge, and we visited with friends. We have used Ho-ho bus tours before across Europe and found them to be generally good. We bought a ticket on the bus and were lucky enough to be able to get a front seat upstairs where good views can be obtained. The tour lasts for about 90 minutes and the commentary is very good. Despite being given lots of facts and figures we were not overwhelmed with information. There is a lot of history to hear about in Cambridge and sights to see. This tour managed to do it all and at an easy pace.

The sight seeing bus tour of Cambridge is a must when visiting this fascinating city. The tour offers a great overview of the historic sites of Cambridge on which to base further exploration.

“Well worth the money”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

When we arrived in Cambridge we were lucky enough to get the sightseeing bus immediately. We paid the driver £11 each. The tour is approximately 1.1/2 hours long. Good value for money. There are head phones to hear the running commentary included in the price. The hop on hop off worked for us. A day in Cambridge for us was not long enough

“Sit on the top deck!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Although previously a resident of Cambridge, I'd never taken this tour so, with tourist friends we decided to do so. Booked online (managed to save 15% with a voucher code too!), printed out the ticket - (wonder why isn't a smartphone barcode acceptable?) Drove to Madingley Park & Ride as the tour leaflet said this is a pick up point. Turns out that isn't actually so, as you have to walk out of the P&R along Madingley Road for about 10 minutes to pick up the bus (good thing we asked in the P&R kiosk). Think this should be pointed out on the CS leaflet really. It may be a better bet to park at the American Cemetery, as this is the previous stop. Tour driver very friendly and helpful and the in-tour commentary informative, relevant and pitched at the right level. Learnt a great deal from this tour, and all the stops were in the right places. Although a bit breezy, our advice is to sit upstairs as you see so much more - half of the top front deck is covered so good protection. Definitely recommended.

“Good for first timers.”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

Our first time utilizing a hop on/hop off bus. We are walkers. However for a short day in Cambridge and one destination too far to reach on foot realistically, we decided to try this service. We have no comparison. For short on time and for reaching an outlying stop, it worked great.

Time: 1 hour 20 mins wire to wire, as advertised.
Stops: Roughly 19 though some on opposite sides of the street or Sunday stops only.
Cost: £14 per adult.
Staff: All encountered, pleasant and helpful enough.

Cambridge from top deck in July, albeit warm, was lovely on the eyes.

Note: When traveling into Cambridge by train for the day only, this is a great way to reach the Cambridge American Cemetery less a taxi.

Note: Bus stop for train station is outside to your left down the block half way on right side of street. About ten bus stops on both sides of street. Look for red/yellow city tour sign.
