We stayed here for two nights and found it to be great value. We enjoyed the location which was very central and on a street lined with good restaurant choices. There is no parking during the day (overnight you can park in the lane behind the hotel) which was slightly incovenient but there is paid parking nearby or you can try to find free parking in a side street in the town (tricky!). The room was clean, attractive and spacious with a very comfortable bed. We had booked the bed and breakfast rate and enjoyed the coffee and continental breakfast provided. Excellent base for exploring the sights of Cambridge. Friendly and helpful staff!

Unless you are willing to sleep with the windows closed and the air conditioning on, you're not likely to get a quiet night's sleep. We had a 'quiet' room facing the park. All seemed fine until after 11:00pm or so. Then 'students' arrived from local pubs to begin their 'private' parties in the park and under our window, until well after 4:00am or so. We'd prepaid, so we endured this 3 nights in a row. Perhaps removing the benches from the edge of the park adjacent to the hotel might help. Or perhaps reducing street lighting behind the hotel would encourage 'students' to party elsewhere. Add this to a truly tiny room, inconvenient and expensive parking, and a minimal continental breakfast and the hotel doesn't give much of a 'holiday feel'.

Room Tip: There are no quiet rooms at this hotel. Both the street side and the park side are quite noisy.

I stayed here for one night mid-week to attend a conference. Room was small but had everything I needed and was clean, and the shower was good. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and they get a big thumbs up for also offering soya milk for cereal - only place I've stayed at that has (you have to ask for it).

This was a late booking on a business trip. Other hotels in the Centre of Cambridge were looking for twice the money that I paid for Bed and Breakfast here.

The hotel are very open about the fact that parking is very limited near the hotel, so didn't try and just headed for the nearby St Anne's multi storey. I didn't have a lot of luggage, but if you are weighed down or have mobility issues, you should perhaps consider an alternate location as it is very diificult to pull up outside the hotel.

Hotel does have limited facilities, no evening meals served and only a continental breakfast. This isn't a criticism, I was aware of that when I booked and was happy with the arrangements but it may not suit everyone.

There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the hotel is fantastically well located for exploring the centre of Cambridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful and my room was modern comfortable and clean. I was overlooking the main road but the glazing kept the traffic noise to a minimum. If you prefer and open window to an aircon unit then you should ask to be at the back of the hotel.

Breakfast was a basic continental, but I was happy enough with what was served and the breafast room has a pleasant view over Parker's Piece, on open space who's claim to fame is its where the rules of football were formed.

This hotel is pretty dated on the inside. We paid GBP149 for one of the executive 3rd floor rooms. The room was clean and basic. Breakfast was 'continental only' and very bad. Cold croissants etc, bad coffee, cheap bread. we gave up and went to Starbucks which is a 5 min walk away. We wouldn't stay here again

We stayed two nights at the end of May for the annual Cambridge beer-festival.

On arrival we didn't get the best first impression as the outside was littered with rubbish but when we came back later that night the rubbish had been cleared, presumably by the staff.

The room was small but clean and we had everything we needed and the location was very central. We couldn't open the window due to the secondary double-glazing but at least the aircon worked fine.

We'd stay again.

Room Tip: The front rooms are facing the road and hence little noisy.
