“Don't Hesitate to Stay Here!”

We have stayed here twice in the last few months. Both times we were very happy with this hotel. When we returned for the second time a couple of weeks ago, the whole place had been re-decorated. It is lovely! Wonderful use of colour and lots of character. We stayed in the 3rd floor executive room both times and it is gorgeous. Clean, attractively decorated, lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. A really good size, with a lovely view of the park on our second visit, as there were no leaves on the trees! The first visit was in Summer and the view was hidden by the trees, but the trees looked lovely themselves! The staff were all friendly and helpful and the hotel is so close to the town centre, it is just a few minutes walk. We plan to go back and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel...One more thing, the cookies in the room on arrival were some of the best I have ever tasted in my life!

A cozy hotel with a great location. It is located in the centre of Cambridge, just a 10-15 minutes walk away from the train station and a couple of minutes away from the universities. Tons of restaurants and shops can also be found nearby, and there is a big park behind the hotel. We stayed in the executive room and it was spacious, clean and nicely furnitured. The staff was really helpful and friendly.

We spent a night here on our way to Sheffield it was clean room was good size easy walk to everywhere.
Parking station was not too far away across the park at the back and reasonably priced (there is limited street parking behind)
Breakfast was simple but it is still hard to get a decent coffee in a hotel

Stayed here for 1 night while visiting the university of cambridge engineering school. It was suggested by the school, and was a very good, convenient option between town, the train station, and the site of the school of engineering. Its straight up the main road from the train station, but far into the city enough that you are past the majority of traffic (the students were noisier than the road).

I stayed in a room at the road-side of the hotel, which was big and spacious. It is perhaps a little bit ageing in style, but then it is an independent hotel from what I read - it basically wasnt a problem.

The staff were very friendly, and wifi, resources, etc were all good. Biggest concern was no bacon in the morning. If you are happy with cereal, pastries, fruit, toast, coffee/tea, and juices - then no qualms. Having no bacon is a big qualm for me when it comes to nights away at hotels.

oh - they do have gluten free options at breakfast - well a corner of the breakfast table with gluten-free type things.

Room Tip: i guess the back half of the hotel has views over the park, rather than views over the road.

We went here recently for a short break and were really impressed. the location is perfect for trips into town and allows you to stay out late and walk back (after a few drinks!). the staff were generally polite and helpful. would stay there again!

Stayed for one night as I was visiting Cambridge on business. The hotel is centrally located, and is well maintained. The place does have more of a guest house feel about it - no restaurant (although it's situated close to a number of restaurants, so not a problem). Breakfast was perfectly adequate. Tea/coffee facilities in each room (Fair Trade products including biscuits - a nice touch). Good shower in the bathroom. My room overlooked the park (which I understand can be very noisy) but I had a sound sleep. The only noise can be from the adjoining room - the sound of the shower was noisier than I've experienced elsewhere, but that's probably down to the thickness of the walls / soundproofing. Staff were very friendly. Quite expensive for what you get - but Cambridge is laughable when it comes to hotel prices. Too basic, for me, for a longer stay - but one or two nights would be fine.

Since we would attend a concert at the Corn Exchange and did not want to drive after the concert we opted for the Regent Hotel and did not regret it. The hotel is centrally located, really close to everything. We could walk to restaurants, the concert hall and most of Cambridge's sights.

The hotel is small and the rooms are even smaller, at least if a small room is what you have booked. However, the room itself was ok, quite nicely furnished, just the bed is really on the small side (130cm). The bathroom is as tiny as the room, barely room for one person. Everything was very clean. Staff was friendly, but not very knowledgeable when we asked for restaurant recommendations.

Continental breakfast was good.

There are no parking spots to be found anywhere near the hotel. The nearest parking garages are about 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.

We liked the hotel and would stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the main street might get very loud during the night. Ask for a room facing the park.
