“Lots of hands on activities”
Reviewed 16 November 2013

This small museum is worth a visit if you have even a slight interest in science or technology. Lots to see and there is a really nice room with hands on activities for kids ( or adults if you fancy).

Surprising to find such a great little museum with plenty of hands on exhibits! Plus had instruments from Darwin and Herschel

“Lots to discover here”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

This is a fascinating place. I expected it to be rather dry but it was really interesting to learn so much in a relatively small space. It is not as busy as other Cambridge museums so has a calm atmosphere.

“Great and quirky little museum”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

We all really enjoyed ourselves here - this small but well put together museum is a hidden gem! It is on the New Museums site, close to the Sedgwick and the Museum of Archeology and Anthropology but is tucked away around the corner next to the Cavendish laboratories. Seems like there's lots for children too, with a lovely imitation Victorian Parlour, complete with fancy dress and victorian toys, as well as some fun handling sections for children to enjoy. There's also a beautiful new gallery with globes of many varieties in. Personal favourite items include the walking stick which could contain leeches and glass fungi models. Of course it is free to enter and it is definitely worth spending an hour or more here!!
