Stayed in annex out the back. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Free parking with a 25 min walk into city centre. Had a nice cooked breakfast in the morning. Staff were very friendly. Good value low cost place to stay. I would stay again.

Helpful and friendly staff. Easy location to get to town, you can easily walk over the bridge and through the park or catch a bus. Breakfast was very good, quickly cooked and good choice.Good places to eat for an evening meal close by.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quiet.

Having read the somewhat mixed reviews on trip advisor we were unsure what to expect when two friends and I stayed for one night. We were however very pleasantly surprised. We were allocated a large four bed room with ensuite - clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Complimentary tea, coffee and toiletries. The breakfast was appetizing and tasty. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Large car park at rear where we were able to leave cars to walk approx one mile into the city centre. Would stay here again!

I stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from Ferry Path, which leads to a lovely riverside walk to the centre of Cambridge. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and my room, although compact, had everything I needed. It was at the back of the building and was very peaceful (the only downside was an extremely thin wall separating my room from next door's shower room, which meant I heard more than I needed to first thing in the moring of my neighbour's shower). The breakfasts come at an extra charge of £5 per day, but are beautifully cooked and filling.
The hotel is on a bus route (citibus no 2) which goes past the main bus station in Drummer Street and also Parkside for the National Express coaches.
I'd recommend the hotel for a short stay for anyone on a budget.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights over the May Bank Holiday weekend. The location is very convenient for the centre of Cambridge (only a short walk, with some good pubs nearby, eg. The Old Spring), and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite small, but absolutely fine for a short stay. The decor could do with an update, but I did not think that this is a major issue with a budget hotel! The breakfast was very good, with swift service and a good choice.

This is a budget hotel. I knew that when booking, and this review fairly reflects that. The building is 3/4 residential houses knocked into one, so corridors, rooms etc are all "unique". Decoration, fixtures, fittings and furniture is made to last as long as possible here. So many things are warn, not everything matches, but nothing is terrible, and everything works. Mattress was fairly new and comfortable. The plumbing is a bit haphazard as it uses auto pumps to boost pressure - these take a few second to kick in, so you suddenly go from a trickle to a storm. The hotel seems nosier than most, sounds coming from the building, and outside quite early in the morning. Breakfast is acceptable for the included price. Fresh milk is given in flasks for tea and coffee in room, nice touch. Staff are very friendly and helpful - in fact the hotel's saving grace. The location is not great for short visits to the city, and in future will not stay this far out. If you stay here, rent a bike from the hotel several doors to the left, in front of the roundabout.

This B&B is good value (£74 per night each for a double and a twin, but we got larger rooms), reasonably close to center (about 15 mins walk, there is a footbridge once you know the way) and has a very nice breakfast with several cereals, juices, full English but also other options like porridge, kippers etc. The staff were very friendly at check in/out and breakfast.

We were in 2 annexe rooms at the back of the car park. These were family rooms (beds for 3) and hence very large. They were also very quiet, which was nice- the road in front seemed quite busy. They could however have been cleaner, 1 had quite a few moths (annoying rather than dangerous) and the bins were not emptied after the 1st of 2 nights.

The Polish club across the road was very good for dinner- all good food, quite cheap and good variety of dishes. The continental deli across the road looks like it is closed but actually has a very odd assortment of foods from all sorts of odd places (Poland, Brazil, Ukraine, Portugal that we recognized but some we really had no idea)
