I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of May. It is quite old fashioned more like your TRADITIONAL B&B rather than a hotel.
My room (twin) was fine and clean bathroom/shower decent and breakfast was very good. However the room has probably not been re-done since about the 70's woodchip walls flowery bedspreads, carpets etc. Same with many of the other rooms (stayed as part of a brass band).
This hotel just needs some money spent on it to bring it up to date, with the right work etc it could be an excellent design hotel as its location etc is excellent.
The location is excellent - walk down the street for about 1/3 mile you come to the river Cam, cross the bridge and walk along the river a further 1/3 mile and you come to bridge street in the city centre. Many of the colleges etc are about 1/2 mile a mile walk from here. Also most people actual cycle, so keep this in mind as this hotel is excellent for walking and cyclingMore
