I was introduced to The Flying Pig as the "office local" first - we went for a leisurely lunch-time meal and drink - and later went with friends in the evening. A "real pub" inside out, quirky, old-style, with excellent and different live music acts virtually every night.
On the Saturday we went, they had a "burger van" available in their backyard and we had a fantastic fresh burger, enjoyed inside while sitting down and listening to the live music.
Highly recommendable place if you want a chilled out beer in a great atmosphere.

A group of 12 of us wandered into the Flying Pig late evening after a great musical evening in the Botannical Gardens next door. We enjoyed the outdoor beer garden. Flying Pig has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Clean and tidy outside with plants and late sunshine rays. Inside funky live music played in darkened interior which is quite ancient and a bit rough, but clearly popular.

Decorated with different kind of posters.

This is a fabulously quirky pub decorated with bottles and of course flying pigs I venture here often and love nothing better than a lunchtime bacon and mushroom gap. The atmosphere is great both at lunchtime with the office workers and locals in the evening following the after work rush. There is quite a lot of outdoor seating which is prime for the sun in the afternoons- one of my favourite pubs in Cambridge only 15 minutes walk from the centre and less than 5 minutes from the station and the FitzWilliam museum.
