We appreciated the beautiful location and the character of the pub. However, the quality of the food was terrible.
We had ordered 2 Mill burgers (£9.50) that arrived fast… but also cold.
We were also highly disappointed by the quality of the burgers, especially for that price, and this independently from the fact our dish were served cold.
The meat was not properly cooked (the middle part could not be eaten as it was raw) and was not 100% beef but tasted like sausage meat. Furthermore, the burger was very dry as it did not contain any sauce, not even ketchup or mayonnaise. We confirm the poor quality of the bun bread/brioche mentioned by other reviewers. As our plates arrived cold, we won't comment on the quality of the fries as we're certain they taste much better when warm. We also did not like the cheese used in the burger… perhaps if it had been melted properly it would have tasted better but we will never know and the Mill is now on our "never again" list of pubs in Cambridge.
On the positive side, we appreciated the salad served along and the presence of coriander in the seasoning of the colslaw was a nice and original touch.
Also on the positive side, the female toilets were quite clean. Unfortunately, those positive observations do not compensate the disappointment caused by the poor quality of the food.
