Description: The Mill Pub in Cambridge is situated in an extremely picturesque location in central Cambridge overlooking the river Cam and its punting stations, The Mill is a delightfully traditional pub oozing character and charm. You will find a delicious offer of fresh food alongside a very impressive range of local cask beers. Outside is the Mill Pond and Sheeps Green alongside the Cam, where you can take food and drinks to relax and enjoy this tranquil, typically English setting. This historical pub has a warm and cosy atmosphere - it is perfect spot to meet with friends, enjoy a delicious meal or just relax with a quiet pint Surely one of the best pubs in Cambridge

Had a meal in Cotto the previous night and felt that prices were a little on the high side. On reflection I put it down to their overheads (rents/rates) in a tourist city. But, the following evening we had a window table in this pub, overlooking the river in one of the most touristy places there is. The food was spot on (completely different menu from Cotto, of course) and here we had burgers and sea trout. But it was good, hot, tasty pub food and the service was friendly and helpful. The bill was £42 for three mains including drinks. Two completely different venues but this place I am giving 5 stars to because as well as providing food/ambience appropriate for the venue, the Mill seemed somewhat better value for money.

Many specialty beers on draft and an excellent selection of sandwiches and salads. Window views of the river add a nice touch!

This quaint pub is an ideal place to quaff some cider or a beer. The staff are friendly and knowledgable, and have an extensive menu to choose from. The place is a jem.

I'm actually sitting in this pub writing this review. It has been awarded the most improved city pub 2013.
The food was really tasty, I had a avocado, crayfish and bacon salad my husband had rump steak. My dinner was so fresh and the veg was cut quite small so I got the full flavours. Hubby said his steak was cooked to perfection.
There is a jug of tap water and ice on the counter, free of charge
The staff were really helpful with directions and information.
The only complaint I could possibly have, is the toilets. The number of non customers that just stroll through is ridiculous. Which means the customers have to wait. It's such a shame the pub couldn't find a way to stop this.

I had a very generously portioned smoked salmon and cream cheese on granary with crisp fries and my sister had a bacon and avocado salad. Of course she stole a few chips, but hey.
Both meals were beautifully prepared, served quickly and efficiently with no fuss.
My glass of house red was only average but the rose spritzer got the thumbs up.
There is a good selection of ale.
Plenty of room and lots going on both inside and outside on the river.
