A large party (25 plus) of us went to the Arundel for our annual dinner. We paid a fixed price of £23.50 per head for three courses. The food and the service was good. At the end of the meal the waiters came round and took our orders for tea or coffee. What few people realised was that the tea/coffee was not included in the £23.50. Tea was £2.95 and coffee was £3.25 per person. The tea/coffee was not served at the dining table, but a number of jugs of coffee and pots of tea were placed in the bar together with cups and saucers for a do it yourself service. The cost of this for 25 people was about £70. A great profit margin for the Arundel, but a little sneaky and not to be admired. The bar drinks were relatively expensive and the cheapest bottle of wine was £19.50. The total cost of the evening, for my wife and I, was just under £80 for the food, a round of drinks and a bottle of wine. I will not be returning to the Arundel because there are many places around Cambridge where the food is just as good, or better, and the total evening dining experience is not as expensive.

Went for a family meal before Christmas. Food was poor and over priced. Also the service was non existent.

On top of that I went the next day for breakfast and the toast they left out had gone mouldy. Need I say more.

Avoid if you can, there are better quality places in Cambridge for half the price.

The decor is a bit tired but the food was very good. It's one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" situations. We sat in the Conservatory and it's probably quite nice in the Summer but we were there in the Winter so it was pitch black…nothing to see.

It's a great location if you are trying to avoid City Centre traffic. We parked right out front for free and you can walk across the street to the River Cam.

We'll go back.

Quality. Had delicious, memorable meal a few years ago so wanted to give it another try. We were not disappointed and dont usually have pudding but just had to after having really enjoyed the starter and main meal. Definitely worth a try
