“Lovely Punting Trip”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

Recently returned from a lovely trip to Cambridge. The River Cam was definatley a nice little addition to our break away. at £10pp it is very reasonable for a 40-50 minute manned boat trip & tour guide up and down the river.

Our guide was very knowledgable and looked as though she thoroughly enjoyed her job! The sun was shining and river was very calm.

Thumbs up from me!

“Good Fun”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

This is a very pretty river, made beautiful by the stunning buildings along it's river bank. The punting is entertaining, with the self hires causing chaos and well worth sitting for a while to watch!

“Do it”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

If you are in cambridge punting is a must. If you are daring enough have a go yourself and rent a punt for an hour it is a mode of transport to tick off your list! Otherwise enjoy a tour ( haggle on prices) with a wise guide who is willing to answer any questions and is very interesting. Good for all age ranges

“Taking a punt is a must”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Taking a punt on the river feels like a bucket-list item -- one has to do it, and it's well worth it -- tour guides are knowledgeable, friendly, and patient/helpful with the amateur punters on the river. A must.

“TAKE A PUNT”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Punting on the Cam is a great way to see the Colleges, especially when they are closed to visitors. If you’re not well experienced at punting, the Mill Pool is the last place to start from: the water is fast flowing and difficult to navigate from the outset and when you return. Instead, head for Trinity College where you can hire a punt more cheaply and in water that gives you a fighting chance: note that the Cambridge convention is to stand on the raised platform when punting while Oxford opts for standing at the opposing end in a less precarious position. ‘Oxford’ is permitted on the Cam but stand-by for informed jibes - and have an equally informed response prepared!
