The hotel is your standard Holiday Inn Express. It was clean, welcoming, basic breakfast and good value for the area. There was a pub just opposite which did a very nice evening meal. It was right next to the train station with a good service into Cambridge (although the station in Cambridge is a bit of a distance from the town center) and very close to Duxford air museum. We had a nice one night stay.

Room was as expected as we stayed in the Holiday Inn Express in Bath last year. Staff were polite, but not engaging. Breakfast was okay and filling.
Main gripe was that the floor around the toilet stank, so we kept our shoes on... Shower was clean though. The toilet area had seemingly been cleaned, but the stink was obviously engrained in the grouting. Also the tea cups and spoons had to be washed again as they were really grubby. Kettle needed a good wipe too. As we checked In fairly late, we didn't bother to complain and just went to bed. Should have complained at check out, but didn't bother as staff seemed disengaged generally.

Stayed in this hotel for 10 days. Check-in and checkout process was very quick. Rooms are pretty good and well maintained. Breakfast is below average and it is the same everyday without any variety. Service during breakfast time on weekends is quite slow. There is literally no room service probably because it is a budget hotel. I had to go to reception to collect toothbrush kit. Hotel is a bit far from city center and also most of the restaurants.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms facing the parking if you need a good view

I must say i was very disappointed with my stay at Holiday Inn. Particularly the receptionist Kate was colder than the ice: every time she was absorbed with something in the computer, hardly looking at me.
Unfortunately, other staff from the hotel were a little bit rude as well, but there are other people like the asian guy were very nice and helpful...
The rooms are nice, but very small. The heating system can be a little bit tricky and the internet is so slow! Breakfast is only ok, but the window view is amazing; dinner was ok, but the price of water and beverages seemed an extorsion...

Siutated approx 2.5 miles out of Cambridge it is a bit of what we could call 'the back of beyond'. It is a £10 taxi ride from the City centre, or is a £2.40 local bus ride which we found takes you all over the place on a 45 minute journey, and which commences at a bus stop a good 20 minutes walk from the hotel. But weather was good and we are fit enough for the hike. Hotel is basic with regard to its decor and accommodation, and rooms are adequate, clean and warm - very warm - with the air coditioning seemingly ineffective. I didnt report this as by the time we got back to the room it was late and we were only doing the one night. We were not affected by noise and teh hotel is in a quiet location at the back of am industrial estate. Staff were freindly, and check in and check out was easy enough. Breakfast was adequate with sausage or scrambled egg, toast , coffee and tea or some cereal.
But the over all impression was that it was just a stop over hotel (which I presume it is being near to the airport) and not one that enhances your Cambridge experience.
Would we stay again? No. We would pay the extra to be closer or in the city.It was cheap, but in the end we got what we paid for which was a clean bed and clean room but no feeling of well-being.

We (2 adults, 13yo son and 10yo daughter) stayed here in September. We unexpectedly had to stay for a long period of time making the whole experience quite frustrating with 4 people in 1 room. The reception staff (Kerrie, Hannah, Jason & Alison) are all exceptional, they have bent over backwards to ensure that our stay is as comfortable as it can be. They are polite, courteous and incredibly helpful. You guys make this hotel what it is. Thank you.

Only reason for 4 stars is that housekeeping could be a little better when cleaning the rooms and the evening meals are very expensive. The rooms are a little small when the sofa bed is being used.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back of the hotel.

Very helpful staff and my wife and I were given a quiet room 240 which was good I would wish to make the following constructive comments as a gold member the bathroom door stuck, breakfast fruit could have been better and knives forks had to be requested with no trays there.Also a queue for the toast. Two fish and chips with two drinks £35 which I found expensive
Positives staff were very helpful especially at reception and large eating area with lots of space, rabbits playing outside brought a friendly atmosphere to the hotel, flat screen TV with free internet
