This is a good value alternative rather than staying in the city centre. Hotel was very clean and as other reviews have stated the staff are very good, certainly better than the average HIE hotels I've stayed. Rooms are clean, quiet and in good repair. Breakfast is the standard fayre, however unlike some HIE hotels the food is quickly refreshed and the staff ensure all options are available, and also ensure the tables are clean. You can walk into the city centre, weather permitting in 35mins or so, or taxi £9. I think a bus route is also fairly close. All in all a good stay many thanks. Would certainly stay again if in the area.

stayed for 2 nights just before Christmas.Festive decorations gave a warm welcome.was easy to get to by own car, location avoids City congestion. currently no charge for overnight secure parking. Set on fairly new Business Park with David Lloyd Tennis/Fitness Centre nearby/ supermarket about 1 mile away. Almost adjacent to Cambridge airport. only heard one in- coming flight in the early evening so relatively quiet. Frequent bus links approx 5 minutes walk away . Taxi @£20 to City Central area this H.I.Ex.has a good Bar and Food availability ( medium price range for a Hotel menu.) vending machines for snacks and bottled water. No complimentary toiletries, but soap dispenser in shower and beside sink. other travel toiletries available from Reception.quiet, clean and modern rooms with Sat TV. air con easy to control.

Room Tip: ground floor room 43 is at the far end of the quiet end of the Hotel

Got booked in by work for a 2 day training course in Cambridge. Hotel staff were very nice and welcoming, room was very good, clean and comfortable. If you are working or on a short stay then hotel is reasonable price for that. If you are looking for an experience then I wouldn't bother as its located on a business park and not a real Cambridge experience.
All in all was a good hotel and happy to return for business trips.

Room Tip: Book facing away from carpark, looking out the back of the building

Roughly one mile from Cambridge airport and also close to Trumpington park and ride for the centre of Cambridge this is an excellent Holiday Inn Express. Set in a business park the location offered plenty of parking and a quiet night's sleep.

Check in was excellent, quick, pleasant and courteous. Jose and Hannah are very efficient and effective members of staff, a credit to this hotel. Hannah even left me take a dinner and tea plate from the breakfast area as I wanted to work out the best size of cupboards for our new kitchen, she even found an eraser for me! Thank you Hannah.

Our room on the second floor was what you expect from a HIE but very well kept, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Quality bathroom with shower gel and hand wash for the basin area. The corridors were also immaculate. We were surprised to be told that the hotel was ten years old and not a new build as we thought.

If I am being hyper critical the bar area, where we had an early evening drink, was rather cold (it was a cold day) this didn't help to create a relaxing atmosphere. Also most hotels now offer a 5 foot bed not the smaller queen size, but this is just a suggestion not a criticism.

Breakfast the following morning was one of the better HIE breakfast experiences we have had. Clean, well maintained and constantly serviced the food and the entire area was excellent.

Would we stay again, without doubt. What made this HIE stand out from the rest, to us, was the staff. They were extremely pleasant, very helpful and they seemed to take a pride in their hotel especially Hannah and Jose. Good job well done.

Stayed here while on a short trip to Cambridge in mid November. Staff were very helpful - even printed out a document I needed for the following day after I lost my own copy. Nadya on reception was delightful, and the bar/waiting staff were very cordial too. Rooms are pretty basic hotel rooms, but they contain all you need for a short trip. Hairdryer was pretty useless - very small and not very powerful. Bathrooms were spotless.
