Description: You may have tried Italian, French and Chinese foods but until you have enjoyed the best of Polish Cuisine you haven't lived! Come to the Polonia Club on Chesterton Road in Cambridge to find out how it really is.Polish Food is a relatively new phenomenon in the UK but one which is soon to as popular as popping out for an Indian on a Friday night. Pierogi, placki ziemniaczane, and many more dishes are sure to become as famous as curry, naan bread and poppadoms. Serving nothing but authentic Polish Food, the Polonia Club sources all of its food locally. Polish delicacies such as bigos, golabki and more are all on the menu for customers to try and then enjoy time after time. The extremely reasonable menu starts at just £4,50 giving everyone the opportunity to try something new for little cost. we are especially proud of our home baked bread which contains no artificial food colourings and flavourings . Poland is renowned for its alcohol and the Polonia Club brings this particular aspect of its spiritual home to Cambridge with especial vigour. An incredible range of Polish spirits and traditional vodkas are served that will put most bars and pubs to shame. 46 different types of Polish vodka are available, both pure and flavoured. Those seeking something a little lighter need not worry - 12 different Polish beers can be selected too. Especially good for parties the Club can be hired for private bookings and social events. If it's your birthday they will bake a special cake for you if advance notice is given.

This is one of the most lovely places I've ever been. From the moment you go trough the door, you are captured by a nostalgic-dreamy- romantic atmosphere, with a soft, polish music and candles and roses on the tables...and the food is really good! We adored especially betroot soup, cabbage & mushrooms croquettes and the shortcrust plum cake with vanilla ice cream..!!! But also pork with cheese and mushrooms or Cracovia-style.! Staff is very kind. Finally, prices are excellent! I definitely fell in love with this place and its magic atmosphere....

A group of friends & I went for lunch at this very small, but well run restaurant, just outside the city centre of Cambridge. I wasn't sure what to expect, because I had never eaten Polish food before, but actually, there are British style dishes too. There is also a Chef's lunch, day, which was Chicken breast in breadcrumbs, with new potatoes, peas & carrots, simple, but very tasty, the potatoes being cooked with herbs & butter! The ambiance is perfect, as the restaurant is small, so could be in danger of customers being unable to hear each other! Desserts are mainly Polish, so I tried a walnut cake, which was layered with cream, & plum compote, of which I would have liked more, as I couldn't taste it very well. That having been said, I will certainly go again.

Haven't tried polish cuisine before so wasn't sure what to expect. Casual dining atmosphere and good service throughout the meal. Good choice of food and drinks, would recommend.
