We went here using a Groupon voucher - 3 course meal for 2 with coffee for 19.95. We were brought some olives and chillis, then a meze. The 7 dishes were hummus, spinach, taramasalata, tzatziki, aubergine, beans, vine leaves. We were also brought a dish with 3 large pieces of a delicious bread. Later we had a warm started of falafel and mini cheese rolls. The hummus was great, falafel not exciting, other dishes good or very good. We were asked if we were vegetarian - we aren't but it's good that there was a veggie option for the main course. This was followed by a selection of meat with rice and hummus and a dish of salad. Perhaps a little too much oil on the salad and I've eaten better meat (at much greater prices) but there was plenty of it, in fact we had to leave some. The third course was two small pastry rolls each - we don't normally have dessert so wasn't sure what this was and not greatly impressed. We were then offered Turkish or filtered coffee - had to wait very briefly while the filtered coffee was freshly made and it was very good. Quality of food was generally good with some - especially the bread and hummus - being very good indeed. Quantity will definitely leave you very full. Service was very good, including asking if we'd like the dessert delayed a little.

It is true that the front of the restaurant is a takeway kebab house and that the rear section was cold when the back door was opened. There are doors between the takeaway section and the rear and they were locked when we arrived (although other diners were inside), then opened afterwards. Don't sit in line between the front and back doors unless you overheat easily. It wasn't obvious where the toilets were. We drank only diet cola and 4.50 for two small bottles seemed exorbitant to us, but we aren't used to Cambridge prices. As one of us doesn't drink coffee might have been nice to offer one cola complimentary.

Good quality food, good value and while it's not the most luxurious surroundings I wouldn't expect that as these prices. Another reviewer's "Just a kebab house" suggests a takeway and it's more than that.. Several tables were in use when we were there. We were told we could park outside - doubt that is legal but we found parking nearby. If you want glamorous surroundings pay more for them but if you want decent food at a fair price give it a try.

I like going to this place for nice homemade food, you can both buy take away or sit at the restaurant, i recommend the meze and the turkish pizza. Everything is homemade!

Accidentally I found myself just front door of the restaurant and being away from delicious Turkish Cusine more than 5 days made me to enter. Definitely was not a bad decision. First in the restaurant everybody speaks Turkish and all are very nice people. I tried classical Turkish Cusine choices and all were very tasty. Especially the pide bread which they serve with meal is exceptional and you can barely find the same taste in Istanbul. Yogurt was real ''Suzme'' and to offer me Turkish Coffee after the meal is exactly what I would like to see at all restaurants in London. Merhaba is definitely not an expensive restaurant despite the reviews and if you compare the amount of money you pay for a single sandwich in London city . They also have good Turkish music onboard. Overall Cambridge is a great place and Merhaba is a great restaurant.
