There is no fuss at Warkworth House. Staff are helpful but don't overdo the attention. The rooms are good value - tastefully done out with smart new small bathrooms and comfy beds. Breakfast is exactly what you need, and plentiful. The house is perfectly located for all the Cambridge attractions, and also for a little slice of the city I hadn't come across before, with Georgian houses and sweet old pubs/restaurants within 2 minutes' walk.
As with any young persons' city (or in fact any city at all) take earplugs because a party will always be talking place at the weekends within earshot - not the hotel's fault. My two tiny niggles are (and I have written this in almost every hotel/B&B review): why no towel rails? Plies of lovely towels, and only a door hook to dry them on. Space is short, but this is a far higher priority than an armchair (who uses the armchair in a B&B room?), or a desk. And can I suggest that Cathy (charming, helpful, sensible) uses the word 'madam' about 100 fewer times? In fact not at all. It sounds all wrong in an informal, friendly b&B setting, and made my mum and I squirm.
Oh, the basement lounge is fab.

We chose Warkworth House because of its location. It is easy to find and there is on street parking for which you are given a permit for the length of your stay. Our room was well equipped, perhaps a little small but that did not bother us and was very quiet. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and all freshly cooked. It's just a 10 minute walk into the centre for visiting the colleges and shops. The market in the square has stalls selling a variety of street food. We tried the Asian food which was totally delicious. We would definitely recommend Warkworth House.

We come to Cambridge on business every year. Warkworth House is a friendly guest house standard of rooms and breakfast really good. We have now had several stays there. The house is a large terraced house over four floors. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Staff are very friendly and more than helpful would thoroughly recommend this guest house for business or pleasure

there and will certainly use them when we are in Cambridge. Highly recommended

I really like staying at Warkworth House. Friendly and warm are the impressions you receive when you walk through the door. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, en suites are a pleasure to shower in.
Breakfast is very tasty, and freshly prepared.
The Warkworth stands just behind Parker's Piece and is close to the city centre. It's close to Anglia Ruskin.
It's one of the few places in Cambridge that I would heartily recommend to tourists/visitors to the city, because on the whole the standard of accommodation in this city leaves much to be desired.

This B&B had everything we needed, when and where we needed it. It's located quite centrally, an easy walk from downtown and the colleges. With info from the owner, on the first night we found pub food and restaurants very nearby.

Reservations were easily made, with no advance payment needed. The 85 pounds per night included two breakfasts each day. The room was small but we didn't need more. That wasn't nice comfortable and cozy common room with good lighting for reading and relaxing. There was no TV, which was a good thing in a common room.

The breakfasts were classic British fair. No more need to be said on that.

The owner was lovely, received us charmingly and upon leaving gave a potted history of the house which was nice to hear.
