“Lovely weekend stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014 via mobile

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the End House and it surpassed our expectations. Waking up to the sound of birds and not cars 10 minutes from the middle of a city was lovely!!!! Jonathan 's attention to detail and personal touch made it a memorable stay for our first time in Cambridge and the breakfasts created from locally sourced ingredients were to die for!! I would have no hesitation in recommending the End House for a stay in Cambridge.

we spent the first few days of our honeymoon in the green room. Jonathan was very attentive and the breakfast was absolutely delicious - especially the creamy fried duck egg; molasses bacon and the pack-a-punch smoothies. The more than double bed was very comfortable and the roll top bath in the bathroom was highly luxurious. We enjoyed waking up each morning to the birdsong outside. Location was perfect - short stroll into town or one of the most delightful walks from Cambridge to Grantchester.

Found on Tripadvisor for my first time in Cambridge. Perfect choice. 15 min. walk from city center, close to a natural reservoir so very silent (except isunrise wild birds wake-up call). Nice room, large bed with puffy duvet - great sleep - adequate space for garment, wifi working in the room (1st floor). Jonathan is a perfect home owner, prepares a perfect breakfast (a huge pot of black tea as I want) with all you want, and gives the right advices for going around the City. Highly suggested.

Room Tip: The Blue Room has a very large bathroom and large bed.

Thoroughly rerfurbished old family home providing three absolutely lovely guest rooms (one small, two of them large). Perfectly quiet location at the end of the street and close to a small nature resort, wonderful footpath to the Center of Cambridge along the River Cam (15 min). Very kind and always addressable host Jonathan. Superb and always freshly prepared breakfast. Excellent B&B.

I had a one night stay in the Green Room - I lived in Cambridge and it was a pleasure to be back, staying at this B&B. The positives for me were that it did all the basics well - easy to organise booking, friendly / helpful host; the room was large, well decorated with a decent bed and (not as common) an excellent shower. Delicious breakfast with local fare. The best bit for me was the contrast between the calm and quiet of Newnham where the house is located which feels very close to the countryside, and the energy of the town 15 enjoyable minutes walk away. All-in-all, this is not the lowest cost B&B available in Cambridge, but in my view, more than worth it for the all round quality shown.

Stayed for 1 night in the yellow room priced at £95 with breakfast. Jonathan the owner could not do more, only been opened since November. He explained all the best things to do and the nice walk along the nature reserve about 15 mins to the city centre. Room was very bright, good decent size,en suite with bath and shower over. Breakfast was ample, all freshly cooked and locally sourced. Street parking so no problem, all in all a lovely stay and Jonathan can not do more to make it a lovely pleasant stay.
