We sat upstairs, in a cosy room with a view of (part of) Market square. The service was good. Food was good as well, I had potted mutton as starter, which was well cooked and perfectly seasoned with a taste of cumin and sumack. As main I had pork belly and my partner lamb shoulder. The taste was good but the portion was small without appropriate side (we had to order them separately). The desert was for me the disappointing part of the dinner: I ordered the summer pudding, a red-coloured pudding filled with summer berries. Unfortunately, the pudding was really tasteless and the small dollop of clotted cream didn't help at all. the other guests had a battenberg, which looked colorless and my partner had a mediocre icecream, Overall, the experience was good but we would have aimed at a better finale.
