Great spot on Mill Road! Spoilt for choice with cocktails and fillings for mains. Will have to come back to try each one! Churros were freshly made and served warm with a DELICIOUS chocolate sauce. Recommend this place highly for its vibrant setting and great food!

Oh dear , where to start. Shown to the back of a near empty restaurant on a Friday evening was not a great start. The waitresses were friendly if a tad un-busy, so drinks were served quickly. The spreadsheet of a menu was promising then the saxophonist turned up and started blaring out his music, which killed all conversation. Eventually after complaining he was moved on, thank-fully. Two of the mains then arrived before the starters - they were sent back to rest under the lights on the pass. Two of the three starters then appeared, the third starter never arrived, so as well as being out of salmon on a Friday evening (must have used the poor fish to pay the sax player), a cheese was missing so they couldn't provide this dish either. The mains arrived, including the two left on the pass during the starter fiasco, and were OK. We eat , drank up, paid and left. Won't be going back, however at this rate I don't think Loco will be around much longer either.

I've often felt that Cambridge is missing a good quality Mexican restaurant so had high hopes for Loco. The food wasn't particularly bad, it was somewhat flavoursome, but the dining experience, the atmosphere and the too-loud saxophone soloist just left me with a disappointingly mediocre taste in my mouth.

Cambridge definitely lacks decent Mexican cuisine; The Loco goes some way to addressing that. The menu is broad, but almost mathematical in the selection process. The food is tasty, well cooked if a little simple. The cocktail menu is a great asset, as is the sale of Horchata which seems difficult to find in the UK. The place is affordable too and energetically decorated.

It was quiet when we went in - a mixed blessing - but the service was slow and inattentive, also they made the unforgivable mistake of getting customers to reuse cutlery between courses. This is lazy and unprofessional.
