This summer the Cambridge Market Square has been more colourful than ever thanks to so much sunshine. It has been full of tourists mingling with locals looking over the variety of stalls. I use the bike repair stall when my bike needs repairs but most of all I like to frequent the bookstalls which you can find at the St Mary’s Church side of the market. The famous David’s Bookstall used to stand here but they have retreated to the nearby passageway. I was amazed to see the bookseller had a book storage underneath the market. He popped down there to find a book I asked after. There are also excellent fruit and vegetable stalls which often have bargains towards the end of the day. Worth going later in the afternoon.
