Oh dear! 2nd time I have been to a starbucks in the UK and had a very poor experience recently.
This cafe was awful to be honest I should have realised when I walked in as it was grubby and dingy. I needed the loo so my bladder over ruled my head!
The only toilet( other than disabled) was filthy from the point of view it had not been cleaned properly for some time. There was no toilet paper except several scraps on the floor. The sink was grubby and obviously had not been cleaned properly for some time either. I pointed out the state of the toilet and 10 minutes later returned to the same loo to find that whilst the toilet paper had been replaced the scraps were still there etc - unbelievable! In fact a shoe while later I did see someone wipe the floor but not clean it.
Right so next to my drink a Chai Latte - well the only staff member serving despite the queue was clearly not too knowledgable of what he was supposed to be doing and the drink he served me was undrinkable and almost burned my throat with the spices involved as I presume he had put too much syrup in it if thats what is used. I was offered another drink but declined and requested a refund which once the manager had been found was given. I discussed my visit with the Manager who seemed corporately sympathetic and offered me a voucher which I declined as I think I have had enough visits to Starbucks!
