“Enjoyable but a little pricey”

Service was very good. Food was good but not exceptional. Meal cost £60 for 3 courses. However you work out the figures (£20 per course or £30 for main and 2 x £15) the meal didn't seem very good value for money. That said the ambience was pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

“fAVOURITE”

Probably our favourite restaurant in Cambridge - even though you have to book - sometimes well in advance, especially at weekends. They have an imaginative menu with enough choices for anyone's needs and the staff are always most helpful and friendly. The place to go if you want a treat in pleasant quiet surroundings.

“Excellence for sure!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

My friends arranged a birthday dinner for me at Cotto as many of us had heard about it and never tried it. It is by far the best restaurant in Cambridge. The welcoming atmosphere, the professionalism of all staff and the quality of the food are all beyond excellent!! The staff are very welcoming, accommodating and extremely attentive! The chef needs to be congratulated for his art of presentation and the quality of his food and innovative recipes! All the six of us had excellent dishes: guinea fowl, lemon sole, beef cheeks and all of them were superb. Starters were amazing and the freshly baked bread was so good and in great variety. The desserts were to die for. I celebrated my birthday with fireworks in my apple crumble. The chef was even kind enough to come out and wish me a happy birthday. Cotto really is the best food I have eaten in Cambridge over the past 14 years! I will definitely be back! Fell in love with the place!

“Very enjoyable again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

Our second visit to Cotto in Cambridge last Saturday, and we were not disappointed. Both the food and service is of a very high standard, and the room is light and airy on a hot summers day.
Elegant starters, terrific main courses and the 'Piano' dessert is a masterpiece. Go while they are still there, you won't be disappointed.

“classy, attentive, fabulous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

This has got to be one of my favourite restaurants. Located on a busy street in Cambridge but set back within a charming building, Cotto offers first class food and service rarely found anywhere else! It's always a struggle to make a booking being so popular but after a quick cancellation, we were lucky. Although it's not huge upstairs, it's well spaced with lots of natural light and lovely windows with views overlooking Cambridge.

The food is pretty exquisite. The majority of my family had goats cheese spring rolls which were crisp and flavoursome, then the venison wellington was cooked beautifully with just the right amount of side elements. But the dessert was the main event! This meal was in fact to celebrate the beginning of my internship in Paris and my chocolate 'piano' arrived with 'Bon Voyage' and an Eiffel Tower crafted across the top in chocolate. Such a wonderful and thoughtful touch, didn't hurt it was absolutely delicious. All in all, first class food and service and what a fantastic evening. Don't miss.
