Ate in here on Wednesday Feb 5 as an alternative to the Belfry Hotel. I had the steak and ale pie which was well cooked and plentiful.
What makes this otherwise unexceptionel city centre pub stand out, for the wrong reason unfortunately, is Keith the barman
If you don't like people and don't like serving people you might want to avoid any career that involves serving people.
How this pub has retained any customers is frankly beyond me.
My order was accompanied by tutting, muttering, eye rolling and a general level of disinterest that would have a Parisien waiter frantically taking notes
Worth a visit if only to appreciate service elsewhere
