Management need to change there policy's on filling glasses to the brim with ice! (25ml of drink in a pint glass the rest is ice)!

When you tell the staff member the glasses don't need that much ice they argue with you about that!

Glasses are disgusting still covered in fruit from the drink before! But don't mention it to the staff as they will just tell you your wrong and it's just water stained still try and give you the dirty glass after standing telling you off about it! Water staining can be prevented if the glass wash machine was cleaned regularly!

The bar member behind the bar today had a serious attitude. I will make sure we don't return!

Also the floor in front of the bar needs fixing it's a trip hazard and one of these days a person is going to fall over and sue!

Lastly for a management member to stand and listen to his staff giving customer attitude he needs a new job!

A group of us had booked drinks and scones on a lovely sunny afternoon. The cafe was busy but seemed to have insufficient staff to cope with the clientele.
The bar is modern and rather soulless with a television on for the football. However it is in a prime spot overlooking the river and there were tables and chairs outside to enjoy the view. Having first called in for a cup of tea it was quite difficult to get served with one member of staff taking the order and then having to move along the bar to make the teas and to prepare cups etc. One had to search for a tray as this was not offered to carry the order to our table.
Having had a river trip we returned for the preordered drinks and scones. Our crockery from our earlier visit remained on the table for some considerable time.
We went to ask for our order at the bar where a pleasant waitress seemed to be very stressed trying to deal with the long queue building up. We had to wait a very long time for the drinks, again with a rather sullen gentleman seeing to everything. Surely if a preorder for a large group had been made it would have made sense to have set out all items ready for our arrival? The young girl at the till had not even been advised of our order earlier.
Eventually, again having to search for trays, napkins and cutlery ourselves, we were told the scones would be brought to us which they were by a cheerful and very pleasant waitress. The tea was ok and the scones edible, but only just.
This is not a venue one might recommend in any way unfortunately. It appears other reviewers have had the same experience. More staff and a semblance of organisation would seriously improve service and products.

Great location and nice lunch food. Good friendly bar staff. Only criticism is that the bar man automatically put unwanted straws in our drinks. For a restaurant in Ely in the heart of the beautiful Fens, and considering the current plastic problems, maybe changing your current procedure of straws would be a good idea. Maybe just ask customers whether they would like one rather than blindly causing plastic waste.

Visited for the first time since it was Ta Bouche. Didn’t rate that much but RBK is far worse. Basically to sum up.

Can I have a menu please?
Yes they are inside.
Oh I’ll get that myself then.

Can I have some source and Cutlery please?
Yes all inside you need to get it yourself.

Ahhhh seriously what happened to simple customer service. I get ordering at the bar but when the rest isn’t even as good as Wetherspoons you should have a think.

Won’t bother again. I’ll just go further down the river to the Cutter for some proper service.

Went here for lunch, ordered a burger and Cesar salad. Service was very slow and when it arrived the burger had no sauce and a very limp excuse for a salad (a few salad leaves that were past their best and no tomato) and the Cesar salad was missing the cheese. Overall very expensive for what was extremely sub standard food. Go there for a drink on a nice day but that is about it.
