“A lovely restaurant!”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

We were in Alderney for a wedding and stumbled across Gloria's due to its trip advisor reviews. It absolutely lives up to its expectation and the food was fab. It is quite an eclectic mix of stuff but all of us agreed the food and service was excellent. We were served by a young guy who was a good laugh and was quite happy to chat rather than rush to another table. I had the hot steak salad with halloumi and it was great. If you are in Alderney you should definitely try this restaurant!

“So good we went twice”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

This is a small, ambitious restaurant cooking an intriguing range of international food, e.g. tagines, Jamaican lamb stew, Fijian fish stew. A good wine list, and bottles of the excellent Channel Islands Liberation Ale, which is well worth a try. Booking is essential because it fills up very rapidly, and the word has gone round about how good it is.

“Amazing value, tasty food with great service and friendly atmosphere”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

Food was varied, tasty and the service was attentive and friendly. Overall of all the different places I went out for food in Alderny this was head and shoulders above the rest and lived up to its rating. A must if you are here.

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

Hidden away off the main street, Glorias should not be missed. Great food, excellent value, bring your own wine if you prefer and excellent service. A great combination. Seating numbers inside are small so definitely one to reserve in advance.

“Simply the best!”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

Looking for somehwere for some lunch after a long walk along the cliff. Excellent food, something a little different and very fresh. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Local people used this restaurant a lot and were quick to recommend to us. We tried the new "Go Nuts" salad which was fantastic and the waiter was happy to provide two plates for us to share this large salad. We were told the fish and chips on a Friday lunchtime was fantastic but you need to book well in advance to get a table. Only a smll restuarant. Book early for evenings as well as they were fully booked the whole of the time we were in Alderney but would try and accommodate you if they could.
