“Great food - sad about the waiter”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

Had a fantastic meal at Gloria's this week. Four of us enjoyed a multitude of tapas and a couple of main courses. The food was wonderful - other than the cappacino mousse which had very little coffee flavour to it. The saddest thing however was the waiter who, whilst processing our hosts card payment, was texting on his phone.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I can only apologise for the conduct of our waiter; rest assured we do not accept that kind of lapse in service level at Gloria's Food and, as hopefully evidenced in most reviews here, we pride ourselves on our friendly and attentive service. (He'll be on dish duty for a while to make up for it!)

We hope it didn't spoil your evening too much and hope you'll give us another try on your next visit.

“Don't miss this!”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

This very small restaurant gets a BIG rating from me. It is a culinary delight and provides a lovely new experience if you are taking new visitors to the island. They will not be expecting the sophistication of the menu which provides a wide variety of food, something for everyone, and they will each love their choice! Some Spicy choices, others are a new twist on old favourites, all served in a pleasant, atmosphere with excellent service. You definitely need reservations in advance as it is small and cozy.

“A lovely restaurant!”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

We were in Alderney for a wedding and stumbled across Gloria's due to its trip advisor reviews. It absolutely lives up to its expectation and the food was fab. It is quite an eclectic mix of stuff but all of us agreed the food and service was excellent. We were served by a young guy who was a good laugh and was quite happy to chat rather than rush to another table. I had the hot steak salad with halloumi and it was great. If you are in Alderney you should definitely try this restaurant!

“So good we went twice”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

This is a small, ambitious restaurant cooking an intriguing range of international food, e.g. tagines, Jamaican lamb stew, Fijian fish stew. A good wine list, and bottles of the excellent Channel Islands Liberation Ale, which is well worth a try. Booking is essential because it fills up very rapidly, and the word has gone round about how good it is.

“Amazing value, tasty food with great service and friendly atmosphere”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

Food was varied, tasty and the service was attentive and friendly. Overall of all the different places I went out for food in Alderny this was head and shoulders above the rest and lived up to its rating. A must if you are here.
