Just returned from a 4 day Alderney fishing trip with nine lads. Stayed at the Victoria, which is a perfectly located lovely little Hotel/guest house in the centre of St Anne’s just on the corner of Victoria Street.
The owner Jenny was very friendly nothing was too much trouble even our early starts.
Everyone was more than happy with their rooms which were clean and comfortable; all had ensuites, TVs and coffee making facilities. I had room 1 all to myself big enough to get lost in and spotless.
The full English breakfast was excellent more than enough for a full days fishing.
The Victoria Hotel is an excellent base from which to explore a beautiful island - highly recommended.

Just back from a 4 night stay at the Victoria Hotel. Perfectly placed in the High Street, but quiet at night. The hotel is friendly, clean, and it would be difficult to better the fabulous cooked breakfast. Our room was very good, the bed extremely comfortable, and the newly refurbished en-suite bathroom excellent. Alderney is a lovely place to visit, especially if you are looking for something a little different, but easily reached from the UK.

All the very positive reviews that we had read before booking regarding Jenny`s friendly welcome and the standard of the rooms were absolutely correct. We had a very enjoyable stay for 2 nights and the breakfasts were as good as any that we have had anywhere - plus the homemade marmalade!
We will be back in the autumn.

Only booked one night, came over for the sprint/hillclimb. The hotel is homely, friendly, clean, comfortable, lovely breakfast and all in all a lovely stay. Also, it is in the high street but it was still very quiet at night!

Room Tip: All rooms are good.

The welcome from Jenny upon arrival was great, as was the lovely double-bedded room (just for me!) with its recently refurbished en-suite bathroom, with shower also. Breakfast was freshly prepared and included traditional English fare, Jenny's homemade Strawberry jam and smoked haddock was no problem! My seven night stay came to an end all too soon but the real bonus was a further night's stay when fog prevented any aircraft from landing and my early evening ring on the bell found Jenny offering a bijou single-bedded room with refurbished en-suite shower room. The hotel offers free WiFi, a comfortable lounge and a warm welcome which appears to be infectious throughout Alderney. Roll-on my return!

Room Tip: Rooms 2 & 3 offer views onto Victoria Street with its daytime activity but everywhere is quiet a...

We have stayed here two years running and have really enjoyed ourselves on both occasions. Jenny is a very friendly host and the quality of the guest lounge, the bedrooms and the breakfast (complete with homemade jam!) was all really good!

My wife and travel a lot , and Jennys victoria hotel is bar far the nicest we have stayed in , the rooms (we had number 1) was spotless , as was the en suite , the breakfast was excellent , we told jenny before hand that we were both vegatairians , that was no problem what so ever , a very nice lounge with a sesection of book and games , just in case the weather is bad , situated in the heart of St annes , you coulkd not find a more helpful host , you have to try Jennys home made marmalade.

would we return , you bet we will , when you leave , you know you have made a friend.
