Huge menu, rather overwhelming so we tried a set meal with many different dishes. The food was sufficiently well cooked but a bit of competion would sharpen it up we felt. Liked the thought of the i-thai Italian menu

We had to walk for 13 minutes up hill to this excellent restaurant...so I'm so glad that the walk back to our hotel was all down hill! We were full of excellent and delicious Thai food!
All the reviewers were correct....the food was superb. The starting platter was the highlight for me.
Quick unobtrusive service helped. If you are on Alderney, please go to this restaurant for a great Thai experience.

This would have been a five star review but for the sad starter of mini fish cakes which were heavy, greasy lumps of something not distinguishably as fishy. Things improved dramatically with the main course - a chef's special of roast duck in a tasty orange and honey based sauce with peanuts: a very enjoyable dish. It was a surprise to find a Thai restaurant on Alderney which along with Harbour Lights gives a couple of good choices for the visitor. We were going to the much praised Gloria's but after a disappointing light lunch there we gave it a miss for evening meals.
Service was very attentive at Mai Thai and I would go back despite the starter.

We ordered a take away for 8; they don't deliver and you need to go and collect it which was a bit of a nuisance as we were staying at the top of the hill, a good 20 minutes' walk from the restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant, the take away meal was not ready; they started cooking it while we were on the premises. The food was good and generous but not as spicy as I would have expected from a Thai restaurant. It is situated in the little town of St Anne and I would recommend this restaurant to people coming to visit the island.
