We really loved this hotel generally, but the food was just not quite up to the mark, the fact that the minature onions that were served with my main course came out of a silverskinned pickled onion jar for and then rolled in gravy says it all really.. The white wine was served warm and when I mentioned it I was asked if I wanted ice in it. I am not some sort of crazed food snob but really all I wanted was a properly chilled glass of wine with a meal that was cooked properly. That said the starters were fine as were the deserts and the service was excellent. If the chef was having an off day well it showed but hopefully this wasn't representative of the normal standards.
