What a well organised and welcoming museum to visit. Another review summed it up, 2 hours simply isn't enough time to fully view all displays. The staff could not have been any more informative and friendly. Spectacular engines from throughout their invention from the rattling monster and gas engines through semi diesel's to the Napier Deltic and Bentley twin turbo W12 engines, there's something from every era and development of the internal combustion engine to view, the benefit is that most of the engines can be seen running which is amazing. Not forgetting the steam area with the Stott mill steam engine and other smaller steam engines running. Then there's the craft area with traditional skills on display I would highly recommend this museum to anyone who has even just a small interest in the history of the engine. Great afternoon, my only regret is I should have turned up earlier and spent more time there!
