We have just returned back a day early from this awful hotel. I don't read reviews that have little niggles about the hotel but I can generally say that PLEASE believe all that bad reviews on this hotel. We arrived and got showed to our room it smelled horrible a musty dusty smell and it even had the window open. The bathroom should be put in the Guinness book of records for the smallest bathroom ever, the fan on the ceiling was so full of dust you put the light on and it stunk the whole bedroom out. The wiring the hotel look dangerous a bad DIY botched job all wires hanging out. The photo's on the website make the hotel look nice but believe me it looks like a cheap bedsit. We didn't want to cause a fuss so we left on the second night very quickly to get out that awful hotel and cut our loses I will be very careful and always take in account for trip advisors reviews.

Room Tip: Please don't go this hotel until the give the rooms some TLC!!!

We stayed in a pleasant family room which faced the front of the building, it was very clean. the breakfast was varied and plentiful, and the staff were all very friendly and professional. i would recommend Lloyds to friends and family. we parked the car in the railway car park and had no hassle unlike Cardiff whose wardens will look for any reason to spoil the weekend even for a couple of minutes
Chester is also a beautiful place to visit, making a very nice stay with the Family

We arrived in Chester at approx 7-45 p.m. on Friday evening after travelling from Leeds. The hotel is basically a stones throw from the railway station which suited us all after a very tiring day! We were warmly greeted by a very humorous gentleman who immediately made us feel at home. The rooms were immaculate and nothing seemed to much trouble for any of the staff. We have stayed in several hotels and we can honestly say the beds were some of the comfiest we've slept in & made for a very comfortable nights sleep. On waking & going to the breakfast room we were amazed at the choices on offer, the cooked breakfast was especially good! We would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Lloyds & will certainly re-book again when we next visit Chester. Thank you all once again. The ladies from Leeds (13th-15thSept).

The pictures and discription are a total misinterpretation of this hotel. This place is more like a cheap hostel! From first working into the shabby reception to dealing with the most rudest and uncaring man on reception I have ever come across. The car park holds three cars at best if you can get to it at all down a small terrest side street. It is unsure parking and also means you have to keep moving your car to let the other two out. I will be contacting trading standards! Be warned. Wish I had read trip advisor before I booked.

I booked this hotel with my boyfriend, from the photos looked wonderful! Double room with plastic shower cubicle, one bath towel no hand towel, bedding was flannelette type sheets. The cooked breakfast on Sunday morning was cold, beans, tin tomatoes, fried egg, hash brown and slightly warm mushrooms! Only white bread for toast which was also served cold. The corridor light was on all night and shone through around the door edges, combined with slamming doors and paper thin walls and getting to hear full blown conversations of our next door neighbours little sleep was had. It does state on site parking but what they don't say is its a maximum of 3 cars and as this hotel has over 30 rooms I found this to be slightly mis leading as I had to pay for off site parking!
