After reading all the bad reviews i was very pleased with what i saw!
The hotel was very clean, and the service good.
Only a short walk from the town centre, and train station, restaurants and bars.
The breakfast was good and nothing was too much trouble.
The beds were super comfy with memory foam matteresses.
All in all would recomend this hotel.
Small bathrooms but who spends loads of time in there anyway.

Large room with no heating on the first night. En suite toilet is a one piece plastic affair fitted in what was a cupboard, very small. Two staff with very little english. Breakfast service very slow and full english breakfast was awful, poor quality ingredients. Found a large pool of tea under the television in the room which by the way you needed a telescope to view as it is the smallest television in the world.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights at the end of October 2010. Having read previous reviews we had an open mind about what awaited us. The cost was very reasonable for Chester - £150 for three nights.
On our arrival we managed to get a space at the rear of the hotel - although this is limited to three cars in total.
The owner was very courteous and showed us to our top floor room. There was a distint smell of plug in air freshener in all the corridors. Our room was spacious and had an ironing board, iron and flat screen television. The ensuite was tiny and the inside completely plastic. I think the hotel owner bought a job lot of small bathroom units and installed one in each room. Despite this, the ensuite was perfectly usable and clean and you soon get use to the size. However, if you are overweight or very large, it would not be advisable to use this hotel.
The towels were replaced every day and the room was cleaned. The double bed was a bit uncomfortable but not enough to keep us awake at night.
The breakfast was very good, with several cereals and a good fry up with pork and leek sausages. There was also plent of fruit available.
The hotel is a short walk from the train station and easy flat walking distance to the centre of Chester. Additionally there were a really nice Italian restaurant opposite the hotel and a great Indian restaurant within 100 metres.
In conclusion, the stay was very pleasant and the rates were reasonable.

we booked this hotel for weekend trip to chester. The parking is at the back and is actually on a street and not very secure. The room had a faulty smoke detector with the detector part totally missing, there was damp marks on the walls and ceiling. The en-suite toilet is the smallest toilet i have ever been in my life. The heating didn't work and the TV reception was very poor.So all in all it was a very bad experience and i wouldn't recommend it at all.

When my husband and I and my two children arrived from london we thought we were going to have a nice relaxing break away unfortunaly it was not going to be this way the man on reception could not speak much english and put us in the wrong room that was very hot and you could not open the window. When asked if we could move the man on reception said they had no more rooms. This to me was totally unacceptable as it was booked months in advance. The room was terrible no clean towels bin not emptyed dust on the tv etc etc! The next day after a bad nights sleep we went for the breakfast that was ok if a bit greasy. A big Shame the place has some positives but untill the owner and staff work out what they are doing i would stay in the premier inn or travelodge for the same if not less money <less money>better hotel!!!

Stayed on a Hen do for one saturday night. We checked in and the man on reception had very limited english. He helped us with our bag and took us to our room. The room he took us to had a leak and water was coming through the fire alarm on the ceiling. We immediatly asked to be moved. He first told us that we would haveto stay in a double room. After a couple of minutes however he moved us to another room which was much better. The bathrooms are tiny and reminded me of being on a ferry. The man at night on reception ordered taxis for us and was friendly. The breakfast was okay but croisants were not fresh and service was not amazing. The hotel seems to be a big Hen/Stag do place, i think we were lucky that the night we stayed was not too noisy. In my opinion you would do better staying at a Premier Inn or similar for the same price.
