Description: Welcome to the Toby Carvery Hoole Village. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings - including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Chester's favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

“Slightly out of the way. ”
Reviewed 23 January 2014 via mobile

Luckily we had a car when trying to find the place otherwise we'd have probably had a bit of trouble finding it.

Once inside though we were greeted by friendly staff. Visited at lunchtime so it was busy as expected.
Plates were hot.
Food was hot and constantly being replenished. Yorkshire puddings were gigantic aswell! Standard choice of vegetables and vegetarian gravy available.

Over all pleasant visit and would consider returning again if in the Chester area as it was nicer than most carveries.

“GRUBBY”
Reviewed 18 January 2014 via mobile

We took some friends to the Toby in Widnes yesterday. This could have been a good experience for the food was good. But the tables were not cleaned properly they were sticky and had salt sprinkled over them obviously not wiped properly. They must not clean up with clean cloths. Both cutlery and crockery felt it had just been dipped in water. Have been in better Toby's.

“Pleasant meal at Toby, Chester.”
Reviewed 16 January 2014 via mobile

Visited 1.30pm on a Thursday and there was plenty of room. Were soon seated by waiter, who had a good sense of humour. Tried the carvery again, using a 20 per cent off voucher, and had an enjoyable meal, with 4 tasty meats, followed by dessert. Very pleasant.

“Called in for Breakfast”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

Fantastic breakfast. food was fresh and did not look or taste "tired" which can so easily happen in carveries. Would recommend if you are looking for a breakfast in Chester area. Have not tried the evening meal, but if it is to the same high standard I would be pleased to call in to eat here in the evening. Good staff, good cooks, good service.
