“Dirty ROOMS!!! ”
Reviewed 1 September 2014 via mobile

Me and my friend arrived at about 9 pm, on the 31st of august! Check In time states 3pm, was given a room by a member of staff who was polite but found our self walking into a dirty room by the looks of it previous guests had left it this way, went down and was given another room by again the same polite gentleman. Went back to another room which we were given and again was still dirty as the previous guests left it not to mention the dirty bedding left in the hall way WENT BACK down to complain and was then given another room by the very apologetic member of staff, after 2 attempts of finding a room finally found a room that was clean, although the shower curtain had hair left over it! free breakfast was given which was kind but wasn't what I expected which include a frozen orange juice had to go down and complain again. feel sorry for the poor staff they felt very embarrassed, location was great and looked after our luggage whilst we went shopping, lovely receptionist!

Rooms were lovely but the cleanliness and servicing of the rooms was poor. Have stayed in many Travelodges over the last couple of years and have never experienced these problems. It was very convenient for exploring the city.

very good location in the centre of the city.price was good when we went.very basic rooms but good for a night or two.rooms facing the ampitheatre looked lovely, no cafe or bar but plenty around the area.we parked on the lawcourts car park, this can only be used at weekends and bank holidays etc but great price of £5 for overnight parking.

Booked accessible room. It was on the second floor. There is a lift but room was at the end of a long passageway Room was not cleaned properly and indeed was not cleaned at all one day, beds not made, or tea/coffee facilites
replaced. Room was quite depressing looking. Public Car park has to be used, discount if staying at Travelodge, but still quite expensive. Will not stay at this location again.

Ideal location and friendly staff. However, there is no bar as would be expected in a modern travel lodge. Also, rooms clearly need more care as the carpet was extremely dirty with big stains. Towels were well worn.
Plus points are rooms were quiet and comfy bed. Also air con which would be a bonus in hot weather.

If staying in Chester for whatever reason. Shopping, races, sightseeing, entertainment, this hotel is centrally located for access to everything Chester has to offer. Room and facilities are clean but simple. Car parking is via a multi storey adjacent to the hotel itself, which is secure of an evening. Shops are within 100 metres. Bars and restaurants same distance. Chester Roman wall is within tripping distance. River Dee, walks, boat rides all within 5 mins walk. I can highly recommend for that 1 or 2 night stay and it won't burn a hole in your pocket.

Stayed here for one night, hotel is smart and modern, located about a 5 minute walk to the dee, and ideally placed for bars and town centre, only problem is parking, they don't have there own car park so you have to use the multi storey car park about 200 yards away, the hotel do give you a 20% voucher off so it works out just under £10 a night to park there, over all i very nice stay and i would defo return.
