Poorly trained staff constantly pestering and rushing. Food adequate but not outstanding .Expensive if you want side dishes but pizzas best value. Whole experience over promises and under delivers- pity as we are locals and were so looking forward to having a first class , vibrant restaurant nearby.

We visited as a party of four last Sunday. There was lots on the menu to choose from and it was reasonably priced.
The restaurant itself is in lovely surroundings and staff were pleasant enough... We were encouraged to purchase two additional side orders for one main course which certainly weren't needed.
Something which was off putting was the waitress reapplying her lipstick in the restaurant in full views of customers, perhaps the staff should be encouraged to use the bathrooms to do this?
Be careful when paying the bill as a service charge is included (even though the website states only on parties of over 8) and then there is a further option on the card machine to tip which in my opinion is rather sneaky.
Overall an enjoyable experience but certain aspects do need polishing.

Staff seemed overwhelmed by customers in general. Everything took a long time. The bar man insulted my husband to other customers waiting to be served. When we complained to the manager about the insult and the poor service we had experienced she said that they could not make any changes to their service during the busy summer months. She listened to what we said but it was quite clear that she wasn't going to do anything about it in 'August' (when in fact in was July). Beautiful location and amazing views. The service just really let's this place down!!

7.30pm table - they didn't have first option of starter but wasn't too concerned at first, but then things started to go down hill. Asked for a jug of water with meal and they do not provide jugs of water, steak for main meal was lovely, cooked to perfection but surprised it didn't come with anything so it was extra from the side dishes if you wanted anything more than tomato and onion rings. We weren't asked whether we required any condiments so had to ask for salt, pepper, vinegar. Chose a pudding but two options were no longer available, chose alternatives and after waiting 45 minutes we decided to just get the bill. The staff weren't attentive or informative, waitress said desserts were taking longer than expected, the manager did come over to apologise but we didn't feel it was very heart felt. Won't be rushing back especially at the prices they are charging.

Lovely setting but not impressed with the food or service at all, when we ordered we were told they didn't have any left of what we had chosen and this was at 5pm, and £12.50 for a small breast of chicken that is served on its own with absolutely nothing else! Extremely over priced and poor service overall
